Congratulations to India, but this could have been us HAD we went towards a "country first" approach

Right now, while I am typing these lines, congratulations to India for winning ODI edition of Asia Cup 2023, but I was going through Twitter (now also known as X, I don't know what does 'X' means by the way), but there were some queries raised by Dr. Nauman Niaz, which I also felt, were the same queries raised into my own self, but I was thinking these were the thoughts of a mad-man, but similarly while I was going through his (@DrNaumanNiaz), I thought these were thoughts off a sensible individual (although I must admit, some of his pas actions were ridiculous)

• Pakistan is out of the Asia Cup 2023, ending at 4 their worst position ever in tournament’s history.
• Pakistan had issues with team selection, not picking right players for specialized positions & injuries doesn’t need any diagnosis.
• We need to ask PCB a handful of questions.
• 1. Agreeing to hybrid model with 9 matches going to Sri Lanka & their suggestion to host the tournament at UAE vetoed by SL, BD & India? Why did Pakistan like the ICC even in ACC stands isolated?
• 2. If UAE’s weather was scorching why couldn’t of the matches played in Pakistan & India not agreeing to come could have had their share of the games organized in Sri Lanka?
• 3. What did it reflect? Why were Pakistan management(s) dominated? Despite being the hosts & Full Member of the ICC, having equal representation at the ACC why did they play meek?
• 4. Chairman Management Committee of the PCB intended to announce the Asia Cup 2023 during an exclusively organized ceremony at Lahore being the head of the host board.
• Jay Shah President of the ACC trumped him by announcing it before he could?
• 5. News was Zaka Ashraf having invited Jay Shah to Pakistan & that he accepted the invite was rebutted brazenly by President of the ACC? Why PCB kept mum & downplayed the rebuttal? One of them had lied, as assessed from the circumstantial evidence.
• 6. Why host country’s name & year of the tournament was removed from the team kits contrary to the precedence? Where & when was the decision taken? Who took the decision? Was the decision being minute? Was it one ended or consensual? Why did PCB agree? What was the compulsion?
• 7. Why did PCB agree to Pakistan team’s hectic traveling schedule? Hybrid or whatever why didn’t they had Pakistan matches barring the ones versus India hosted in the Country? Why have we had to act obedient? Why couldn’t we take it to the Executive Council of the ACC?
• 8. Despite the worst weather conditions, PCB didn’t robustly try getting the venue changed from Colombo to Hambantota for the Super 4 matches despite being the host. Why couldn’t matches not involving India hosted in Pakistan? Shah took a unilateral decision without any consultations with ACC’s Executive Board.
• 9. Worst Pakistan’ submissively agreed to a reserve day for their second match versus India on a flimsy excuse of catering for the broadcaster’s interests? Where were broadcaster’s interests in the first match which was rain ruined? Why was it done for a strong board? PCB, BCCSL & BCB accepted an unfair amendment in the playing conditions, equally unjust? This cost Pakistan their place in the finals.
• 10. It hasn’t been Jay Shah, ACC or BCCI’s show of power, it’s the meekness & failure of the PCB to kneel down despite being equal in status?
• 11. What one fails to understand is PCB’s behavior. ICC, a legislative & not a governing body like FIFA is toothless, dependent on all the Full Members for voting rights. It’s true BCCI is the richest & strongest board attracting maximum revenue.
• Such is the depth of their market, the revenue generation, outlay, broadcasting deals & value, the entire fraternity has become dependent on them. What’s bothersome is the fact while all other boards and players are attracted to the Indian Premier League, brand with value of billions of dollars, Pakistan do not have the interest, isolated because of regional politics?
• Then why should they act tamed? Jay Shah Head of the Commercial & Finance Committee of the ICC playing politics & power games has virtually assumed the administrative control.
• This no way should deter Pakistan since their annual share of USD 34.5 million will remain intact, so will be their Full Membership, & rights to play?
• For that a competent, visionary, corporate savvy & fluent in diplomacy man is required to head Pakistan’s cricket. Mr. Zaka Ashraf was hosting BCCI’s President & Vice President, the Secretary of the BCCI & ACC President was taking them head on?
• So much still can be done without forfeiting our credibility.

My question would have been the same, do not blame Indians, we gave them a chance to hit us, otherwise had we someone likes of Mr. Ramiz Raja, we could have been in a better condition, instead of staging a toothless Asia Cup where in-spite of being the host for this years' Asia Cup, we didn't had a say into these matters!

Other than Asia Cup 2023

Pakistan is only going to host 2025 Champions Trophy, (which I feel, if this current management of Pakistan Cricket Board stays there, get ready to stage a toothless Champions trophy and making the mockery of whole Pakistani nation, just because of satisfaction of their own political motives), other than that, none of the ICC neither ACC multinational tournaments are going to be staged on Pakistani soil, what a shame! But we as Pakistanis like to be political beyond country's interests.

No need to blame India for all of this, because we as Pakistanis gave them chance to exploit us, like we say in Urdu language آ بیل مار مجھے aa bel maar mujhe; hence no need to divert attention towards external factors whereas we ourselves have been the main factor behind debacle, otherwise had they had guts to communicate their matter on higher level, just like Ramiz Raja did when NZ did the same what Jay Shah did, because like I mentioned earlier this era where we are living is the era of defamation. where sighting on focus is really a tough ask, and sorry to say the way our news media have been acting with loads of بیشرمی, just because their TRP mechanism, they have forgotten that they were supposed to be mouthpiece of Pakistan Cricket, but instead they have been acting like they are totally enemy of the country, why aren't they (the Pakistan media houses) were made accountable of their own actions?

If in return of this tournament, had we provided with ownership of September 2025 Asia Cup was granted to Pakistan, just like Sri Lanka did, where 2022 edition was granted to Sri Lanka but was hosted in UAE while having Sri Lanka written on Official logo of 2022 Asia Cup, but even then Sri Lanka was deemed to host the next edition on their own home soil, and ironically this time around, only four games were staged in the host country whereas nine games were hosted in a 'make-shift host country', which seems like hosting rights were DEFINITELY taken away from Pakistan for sure.

Just imagine, one game was hosted in Multan which accounts for a 0.077 of the whole 13 games being played, afterwards games were shifted to Pallekele, Kandy, which accounts for 0.23 of the whole tournament games, and similarly afterwards it was Lahore's turn, which also accounts for 0.23 of the total games played, whereas if Colombo's games are to be taken account, accounts for 0.46 percent of the games played in Asia Cup, 

If I compute with regards to country, 0.31 of the games were played on Pakistani soil which were all completed without a rain washout, on the contrary, while I was computing statistics for games played on Sri Lankan soil, 0.69 of the total games were washed-outly granted to Sri Lanka, because most anticipated game of Asia Cup 2023, Pakistan v India both times were washed out, similarly Pakistan v Sri Lanka game was also decided on D/L method, hence I am in no position to question the sanity of shifting whole tournament to Sri Lanka in a season where Sri Lanka is wholly inside Monsoon clouds, while South Africa, Australia, England, New Zealand, Sri Lanka, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, West Indies, Nepal visited and completed tours to Pakistan, even right now while I am writing these lines, South African women team is playing on Pakistani soil, so what kind of security threat India is talking about, we could support Indian team on Pakistani soil while wearing Indian Kit but could they support Pakistani team on Indian soil while wearing Pakistani Kits?
