West Indies v Pakistan - 2nd T20 washed-out

I have been busy during my last post, since couple of things happened during those periods, because of health issues, and vaccination, furthermore job-responsibilities includes some of the reasons I was off from my cricket blog, hence this was the reason I have not been properly associated with my cricketing blog.

Before WI v Pakistan series

Pakistan was associated with later part of PSL games staged in Abu Dhabi, for which I am still skeptic because the way PSL was exported to UAE as again although, politically UAE is Pakistan's rival, hence instead Pakistan investing and sporting aspect of staging whole of PSL in Pakistan, but what I got to know, Franchises opted for UAE for couple of things, one aspect is players just like LQ had Faulkner, IU had Usman Khawaja which in case of games staged in Pakistan was not currently having these current players, so it was under the cover of COVID-19 pandemic, franchises played gambled their cards, as managers of auctioned players are going to auction players only when games are being staged OUTSIDE Pakistan, so because of that, PSL is supposed to be getting exhausted as PSL is going to suffer, as PSL is known by their spectators and when PSL is not going to be staged in Pakistan, it is us, the crowd and TV Couch Potatoes, who are to be the victimized party.

England v Pakistan ODI and T20 series'

It was a disaster of the series, as out of the six games played, Pakistan won only one, that was too only a T20I game, otherwise England had a 5:1 ratio.

WI v Pakistan

This series kicks off with 5 T20 games, but because of COVID-19 pandemic situation impacted the Caribbean Islands just after recently concluded West Indies v Australia series, for which few of the management staff found positive with this lethal pandemic, hence one of the T20 game was scrapped and now instead of 5, this series kicks off with four games, but I am not in favour of having even number of games, because it takes off the aspect of one off advantage, as of now two games were washed out which means one game which Pakistan won at Guyana, the last game if WI wins, it would make this series as drawn, but this is something we'll have to take care of while we are spending time in these pandemic times.

Pakistan's start of World Test Championship

This tour marks start of Pakistan's WTC 2021-22, as recently concluded WTC 2020-21 was won by NZ against India, hence after that concluded WTC, this is the first game for Pakistan, hence these two games against WI will mark initiate for Pakistan's stint in current edition of WTC, furthermore after this tour, Pakistan's congested home-series is going to started when England is going to make tour to Pakistan, furthermore NZ and after NZ is WI making a returning tour to Pakistan, for which Pakistan's home season is going to be a congested one till the end of 2021.

A threat for early exit for the defending champions

Prior to last night's clash between Aussies and Pakistanis, Aussies no doubt outclassed Pakistanis in every department of the game, which was expected and which I was concerned for but other people didn't acknowledged it and were being optimistic with the result.

Don't wanna say anything regarding yesterday's match and performance of Pakistani team but now we're on the mercy of Australia v Bangladesh match, which I think is gonna happen that Aussies would want Pakistani kicked out of the world T20 by making Bangladeshis winning the next encounter against the Aussies because Pakistan no doubt can prove to be a tough opposition for Aussies. That's why teams have this option of depending on other team's results on their last priorities.

So I bet it would be Pakistan who would be returning home, because statistics of Group A are saying so, after playing two matches Pakistan got 2 points with Net Run Rate of -0.325, whereas Australia after winning their match yesterday are on +1.700, they still have to play their match against Bangladesh and Bangladesh on -1.050 and they still have to play another match in this group which is against the Aussies. So a person with limited mathematical knowledge can easily understand that if Bangladesh win their final match of the group against Aussies, they will definitely going to become the second seed team of this group with Australia replacing Pakistan as the First Seed team in Group A. All Pakistanis can hope for is that Aussies thrash Bangladesh out of this tournament!

Tough luck. We should start preparing for "grand welcome" for our team. And like I said, Aussies will definitely do the same to kick out Pakistan as they are a difficult opposition to tackle and to make their position concreted for the semis.
