PSL Season 4 - Finale

I have been little down and out these day due to job and marital life as since my last post, I have got married, therefore it has been little difficult for me to watch and write at the same time, therefore apologies for the same.

PSL Season 4  - turning everything on its head, everyday

The broadcasting rights woes

The current season of PSL has been amazing us since the day-one of the league, as initially when the opening ceremony concluded; Zoheb Hassan, the veteran singer and co-singer of the famous Pakistani song, Disco Deewane, called PSL to stop using his copyright work without permission but the main fuss was post 14th February events, India cut ties with Pakistan and due to which IMG Reliance which was broadcasting this League had to withdraw and DSports which was broadcasting the League in India were also boycotted.

Though the PCB had this covered and within 3 days time which was the notice period before a broadcasting company can leave, Pakistan arranged the alternative in Trans & Blitz Group which aired PSL starting the Sharjah leg.

What is for Pakistan to learn?

Pakistan should never rely on an Indian company for broadcasting a Pakistani tournament instead groom Pakistani freelancers for the same because first, Pakistan should rely on continuous presentation of the league, secondly we won't have to be dependent on having quality presentation(s).

Geo Super had done the same so initially the presentation won't be as good but Pakistan has got the potential in presenting PSL according to Global Standards and Viewership.

No offense to the Indians but...

The fact is Pakistan has to rely less on their neighbour's because their dependency is definitely making the neighbor feel they capitalize on Pakistan. Therefore it is best in interest of the PCB for creating a separate team of broadcasters on the same scale like BCCI did with STAR TV, like merging BCCI own tournaments, IPL, Ranji Trophy and their domestic tournaments under STAR TV Umbrella in order to have effective cost management, furthermore India do not rely freelancers on day-to-day contract instead they have an agreement with STAR TV for a particular period and therefore their games' TV presentation is uniform and doesn't have the inconsistent presentation Pakistani games have.

Last but not the least

Pakistan now have to look on the long run for the TV presentation rights, and as far as I am concern, in order to make PCB as a product, they'd have to have consistency and uniformity in their presentation so that your audience stay with the product.

Peshawar Zalmi v Quetta Gladiators Final at Karachi

It is going to be one hell of a contest between the finalist of 2017 Tournament, that time PZ had the last laugh, though I have a feeling that this time too, PZ is going to have the same though I personally want Quetta Gladiators to win, because they have shown a great game, but lets see who wins, but may the better team wins.

Pakistan v Australia, contest for 32:62 respectively

Pakistan v Australia ODI Series in the UAE

This series isn't going to be the same, because Aussies have been in the best of their form, beating India in India on their own home turf, will boost their confidence, furthermore  Steve Smith and David Warner are also returning, and thirdly Usman Khawaja would try to have his luck against the country of his birth.
