Right now, while one Aussie T20 team is competition against Indians in their own backyards, whereas their big boys are getting themselves ready to compete against visiting Pakistani team, having no expectancy off them regarding performance of any sort, as PCB's pathetic media campaigning was brutally exposed, where during conclusion of ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 Final which was played between India and Australia, one game was being played at Narendra Modi Stadium, in Ahmedabad, whereas another game was in process at Gaddafi Stadium of Lahore, where within the matter of hours, Pakistan's management was upside down changed, (although those people who are responsible for countering them, has been held constant), but like I mentioned in previous blog post, these 70+ aged people, who are hungry for attention seeking, are running the helm of affairs of PCB.

A lost is a lost, but why we are so fond of giving forms back to opponents?

After winning tonight's game, Aussies and Pakistanis are going to stay on 4 points each, and the only difference between both teams are going to be NRR, because right now Pakistan are 9 down (yes I have been typing and watching simultaneously) so Aussies are just one wicket away, while Pakistan still behind 67 runs, which still a big margin but Pakistan should play their full quota of remaining five overs, and try to come as close to the target as possible, because winning or losing is part of the game (ہمیں تم سے پیار ہے), and yet, Pakistan lost by 62 runs. (Yes I am simultaneously typing-and-watching)

Pakistan thrown up the game

This is a reality, which every single of us should admit, instead of شراب سے وضو کرنا because this is not Aussies won (not taking anything away from Aussies) but we have lost the game.

A must-win game for both Pakistan and Australia at Bengaluru

Tomorrow's game between Australia and Pakistan at Bengaluru is a must-win game for Pakistan, whereas same could be said for Australia as currently Australia is deemed to have a heavy win in order to attain a healthy NRR, as NRR depends on how many runs scored in how many overs which is divided by runs conceded divided by conceded overs, and on the basis of which, Pakistan are standing at -0.137 with 4 points after playing 3 games with one defeat, likewise Australians played unlike Australians where they are currently standing at 6th position and at a dicey NRR of -0.735 while they have also played 3 games while losing 2 games to 1 win, 

Hence

This is a must-win-game for both the teams, being a Pakistani, I would be supporting my team, but
Australia seems a better team for beating Pakistan, because of their fast bowling battery, which altogether bowl 30 overs within themselves, so I have to give onus to Australia compared to Pakistan, otherwise Pakistan would have to play BRAVE CRICKET in order to mark a win comprehensive win, and for winning comprehensively against a compact team like Australia, we would have to play like SHAHEEN's just like we have been propagated.

I might be talking like "devil's advocate" but a massive mind programming being incorporated, for which I wished, Ramiz Raja there who knew how to counter such mind programming, just because we have been giving other teams to make excuses for NOT PLAYING on PAKISTANI SOIL, and sorry about my language, but we have been so بے غیرت in this regards, where it is not our intention to counter these propaganda and mind programming tactics

Australia v Pakistan game is of utmost importance after conclusion of NZ v Afghanistan game

Right now after conclusion of NZ v Afghanistan game, situation tricky especially for Pakistan, England, likewise Bangladesh and Australia, as all the teams I mentioned here have open chances to go through to the semis, because if even England wins their next game, they will move in upward direction, making Pakistan at 5th position, hence Australia and Pakistan game is of utmost importance, and hence both Pakistan and Australia have to play their A-game if they want to move further into the tournament, because in common laymen term, this format demands winning, because winning responds in earning 2 points, and with addition to the 2 points, NRR can have a positive impact, otherwise situation will look like England, whose NRR is superior to Pakistan, but on the contrary since they have less amount of points, that's why they are laid below Pakistan although having superior NRR compared to Pakistan.

Slight difference from yesterday's standings because now Australia have opened their account and likewise Sri Lanka were downgraded from their last night position, 

Curtains for Pakistan for sure

Because now Aussies have tasted the first blood, and after tasting the first blood, the next game is
against us, because already their non-performing sectors i.e., Spin and the middle-order, started firing, and initial firing is surely going to be on us for sure, already we Pakistanis are well known for providing forms to opponent players, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma to be precise, and I fear Glenn Maxwell might another beneficiary, because this game has more significance to Pakistan because in order stay on number four position, it requires to win, otherwise even if Pakistan loses, it should lose with less amount of deliveries because as you have been going through my previous blog's posts, I have been constantly giving references to 2019 Cricket World Cup where Pakistan lost the Semi-Final berth just on the basis of Net Run Rate, hence this tournament is precedent to 2019 edition, and hence NRR is quite an important aspect current format.

Australia's middle order woes recovery

This is another problematic aspect, where our bowling has not been firing, but on the contrary their (Australia's) middle order starting to fire from tonight's encounter against Sri Lanka, hence there is an Urdu saying which perfectly suits Pakistan's circumstances, کھایا پیا کچھ نہیں، گلاس پھوڑا بارہ آنے 

Furthermore, Zampa also took four wickets, while we were unable to read Kuldeep Yadav, hence I fear how we are going to read a less lethal than Kuldeep Yadav spinner, although compared to Pakistan, Sri Lanka are still better drivers of spinning deliveries, which we also experienced during recently concluded Asia Cup, where except for the final, they were definitely threat for any opponent they competed against.

This bowling attack which was neutralized by South Africa, slowly starting to show off its groove, because this statistics which I took from ESPNcricinfo, I am already bit afraid while reading this statistics, because next game is against this bowling attack, where curtains are already drawn over Pakistan's expectations from Australia's game, and afterwards the game is against Afghanistan, where we are without the support of Nasim Shah to carry us towards the shores, and secondly our middle order yet to fire, hence I am not very optimistic with prospects for Pakistani Cricket Team.

Curtain for Pakistan as next match is against Aussies

This is my personal opinion, but the next game against  is going to be a tough ask for  since Aussies are supposed to be tough opponents, and it were us in 1999 when Aussies took the game from us convincingly, and not only that, they had continuously won 2003, and 2007 Cricket World Cup on the trot and afterwards 2011 was won by  and afterwards 2015 was against in continuation won by Aussies, so as per historical records, Aussies are supposed to be good in paying back debts, and right now Aussies are wounded, hence I am personally expecting them to return us the favors from 1999, and 2003 as we remember them, because in 2015 we showed them some fight but during these times, they were clinical towards us, hence I am favoring them against Pakistanis for the game being played at Bengaluru.

After Australia v South Africa game!

What is next for Pakistan?

Things are tricky when it comes to Pakistan, after India game, Pakistan is supposed to be playing Australia, whom after two defeats, might come hard of Pakistan, even Pakistan is guilty of giving form to others, and I am not expecting Pakistan to easily go into the semis, because the form South Africa showing right now; is posing threat for Pakistanis.

Maybe this time, it is Africa!

This might be a far-fetched thinking, but I personally feel, South Africa seems a complete package, and I am eyeing on Proteas to directly include themselves into Semis, but way AFTER semi-final is dicey, and whatever the team starts their momentum preceding the tournament, is surely gonna win the tournament, because the current format is all about generating the momentum.

Favorites tag

Favorites tag is something which is gonna haunt teams while this tournament is going to be finalized, but still Pakistan still have to go through to the tournament.because Pakistan yet to play Australia, Afghanistan, than South Africa, afterwards Bangladesh, New Zealand and last match before semis, is England game.

No opening ceremony on start of the tournament instead of prioritizing INDIA-PAKISTAN game, is unjust to Participating Teams

I usually use a term, creating a precedence, promoting/glamorizing such illegal tactics, where you initiate the tournament without opening ceremony, but actually opening ceremony is placed after 11 games, as Pakistan-India game is 12th game, whereas opening ceremony is supposedly how tournament starts, means after India-Pakistan game, they are starting the official tournament, otherwise right now we were watching starters.

Clash of two team, who have stakes from tomorrow's game

As we are experiencing from the standings of these two teams which are competing tomorrow which is going to be played at Lucknow, which is also the first game being played at the same venue, but one team is coming off the win against Sri Lanka while scoring three centurions, whereas the other team is
unlikely coming off a defeat against the Indians at Chennai, and since taking reference from it's precedence i.e., 2019, Net Run Rate i.e., NRR is surely going to play a pivotal role in determining a position in semi-final berth. because if we recall Pakistan's experiences, Pakistan was not able to qualify just because. the first game which Pakistan played against West Indies, Pakistan suffered with such an heavy dent on NRR, when Pakistan was -5 NRR, approximate, so ask for Proteas is nowhere easy because although on the paper, South Africa seems to be on stable condition, but still South Africa is prone for a dent, and I personally feel that I am expecting after tomorrow's game, a NRR of at least 1 to 1.5, because I am expecting Australia is surely going to come hard, because yesterday's game of SL v Pakistan, is a remanence of what to expect off future games mindset and mood of the tournament for future games

Australia v India at Chennai

Tomorrow is supposed to be the only game remaining in CWC 2023, where one team is going to open their tally on points table and other would have to wait a little longer for reciprocating the same. but the current Points Table position, after completion of Match No. 4 between South Africa and Sri Lanka have cemented my personal opinion that NRR is surely going to play a major role, hence that's why I am not rating Pakistan high for going through to the second stage i.e., Semi Finals, where top four team are going to qualify to play in the semifinals.

Being Pakistani, it hurts not seeing Pakistan in semifinal stage, but reality is...

Although, just like Pakistan played last year's World T20 event final, which was unexpected and mercurial, but not every day is a Sunday, so we should not act like a Sunday, because everything should be well planned, because I personally feel, Pakistan still lags in media management and strategic management, because in a global event like this Cricket World Cup 2023, we are required to make sure how we are representing Pakistan on a global stage, 

We are still required to counter this negative marketing of Pakistani team; deeming them as favorites (again)

This is an old strategy of diverting attention from their team to Pakistan team, as we should admit one aspect, Pakistan team ain't as matured as different teams including Afghanistan (which won Asian games Cricket event game against Pakistan), this is a questionability on the capability of our concerned officers responsible for countering these aspects, that's why there is a HR saying which suits Pakistan Cricket to a certain extent,

Right person on the right place at the right time

Means timing does matter in today's ever-changing situations, because situation is getting changed by means of matter of minutes, because everything is dependent on matter of few minutes, so we require to up our game in order to compete, instead of propagating (pathetic Pakistani politics) without any advantage to and towards Pakistan.

I might be acting as "Devil's Advocate" but...

While I was analyzing my Excel Sheet in Pivot Table, although some of my Indian colleagues were claiming that India is not getting cricketing advantage instead of management advantages, but while I was looking into team wide venue analysis, India is not the part of any double header games, all games India is playing are single games per day, here I am communicating about media management, where all the cricketing nations are going to view India's games, whereas as today seen, it was unable to counter Afghanistan v Bangladesh games which was overlapping Sri Lanka and South Africa games, hence in today's world, media attention is something everyone craves, furthermore all games of India are primetime (I might be incorrect in my assessment though, but this is my personal opinion).

Seems like 1992 in 2022

I usually don't like matchups, but the fact is there have been similarities between that era and current one, apart from that this time England might cross the line this time, because being Pakistani cricket supporter, we are totally ignoring the fact that England have also came to take this trophy to London, just like Pakistan wants this trophy to roam on the streets of Karachi, Lahore and elsewhere.

My prediction

Someone might call me devil's advocate, but I personally feel, this is going to be a hard-fought game, which if PAKISTAN wins, will be something I would love to cherish, but right now, the form England is right now, I will have to give my onus to England, but from the core of my heart, I want Pakistan to win.

More bigger things equally important as the Final going to be played on Sunday

I won't be surprised if ...

Many of my Indian colleagues are going to laugh at it, but the kind of performance we had during the T20 World Cup currently being staged in Australia, Pakistan team does not deserves a place in the Semi-final tally.

Why I am saying that

Just about the end of 2021 T20 world cup, which was exactly a year ago, we knew that the next world cup is going to be staged at Australia, so was our management sleeping that time? Instead of taking sensible decisions like making them practice on fast and bouncy tracks with working on your weakness, which is short pitch delivery, which was even noticed during the first encounter of both arch-rivals i.e., Pakistan and India in recently concluded Asia Cup, so didn't it ring something in the heads of so-called management?

I might be looking like an angry bird but...

I am normal right now, and IF Pakistan didn't go to the next stage, I won't be surprised, because I am not going to support the ongoing خلیفہ گیری within the team, because at the end of the day, the team is known by the name PAKISTAN, and such pathetic performance imposed on the name of PAKISTAN is something for a patriot like me and many more, doesn't like to associate with.

Fault is on planning and management of planning

This is something I can continue conversating on and on, but the matter of fact is this department is of management to analyze the situation and communicate the same to the team whenever possible, furthermore, don't wanna be mentioning this as already things have been difficult for our current captain but Babar Azam has to step up and instead of recording videos for PEPSI and Pakistan Cricket Board Media Cell, he should work on his street smartness, because captain's strategy shouldn't be that much of a predictable aspect for opponent team, which is sans in Babar Azam's case.

I am not saying

I am not saying to get rid of Babar Azam, but at least groom and two other players who can be best alternative for Babar Azam, similarly creating backup is also an aspect related to the management side, I don't know why whole of your management staff is busy incorporating themselves into media things, I know this is the era of media attention, but I personally feel, don't be so much of an attention seeker, because not only you but like a KARMA, 10 more people are going to be inspired off this media attention thing, and then a ripple effect would be seen in some years' time.

Right now, when I am writing these lines, the final lineup for the super has been finalized, which are as follows, 

Group of death which is Group 1, personally I feel is the 
most difficult of the groups, and hard to decide the Semi-
Final standings

Something I am feeling awkward is West Indies is not present in this lineup, which is sad for the cricket game itself, but the group Pakistan is comprises of all dark horses, means one odd game, might cost Pakistan a position in the semi finals.

Seems an easy group but this group is more trickier as this
group comprises of majorly dark horses.

Pakistan's middle order woes goes on to World T20I event

Thank God, Pakistan ain't playing the qualifiers unlike current Asian Champion Sri Lanka and West Indies have been playing, because the kind of form associates teams like Namibia, Netherlands, UAE and Zimbabwe (although I know it is being harsh to call them associate team, but their cognition from international cricket has made me call them an associate team) have been showing resilience and hence they might be the dark horses for the teams like Pakistan, India Bangladesh, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand etc.

Up-till now

West Indies and Sri Lanka have lost their games against Scotland and Namibia, and that too on the very first day of the qualifiers, which exhibit the amount of competition we are going to see as the tournament goes on.

Monotony of final outcome of the game
is not good for the game itself

Australians have done one thing good for sure, which was sans in Middle East conditions, that winning the toss and bowling means you have won the match, this thing doesn't applicable on the Australian turf, instead it is all about statistics because I was watching pitch analysis of Samuel Badree and Ian Bishop, and they were right on the mark, so this tournament is going to proceed under data analysis and statistics instead of winning the toss and bowl means you win the match.

Pakistan v England warmup game

Off late both teams have been playing a lot with each other, which includes 7 T20I games between the two, which was won by the English 4 games to 3, but this time Pakistan did experiment courageous decision of playing with many of the players rested, because I also have been saying, this is high time to test your bench strength, because while I was watching National T20 tournament final between KP and Sindh, and the way Sindh dominated the chase is the determination I'd like to see in the National Side because winning and losing is parts and parcel of the game, but how you execute your A-game is what matters the most.

Australia during CWC 1992

We all remember 1992 CWC due to Pakistan winning, but one thing we all forget, how Aussies emerged from that time to 2003, 2007 and 2015 Champions on the roll, just because they invested in research and development, and the science cum statistics they incorporated into the game of cricket, due to which they are ruling the game, as they have gained a momentum and consistency into their game.

My expectations from Pakistan team this WT20I Cup 2022

If they win, it'd be great but I am expecting them to reach the second round, i.e., the semi-final; but if they win, it'd be icing on the cake for team Babar Azam aka. BA and co. furthermore after West Indies, Pakistan is going to be the second team which won more than one World T20I Cup.

My prediction

This tournament unlike UAE edition, is wide open; and can be anyone's game but Australia, NZ, South Africa, England and India have more chances to win, because they have momentum with them, but we must look after teams which between the tournament gains momentum, just like Sri Lanka during recently concluded Asia Cup 2022, when none gave them a chance, they gained momentum, and cruised with the Asia Cup, similarly these teams have more chances but again look for the momentum teams going to take during the tournament.

Australia tour of Pakistan - 2nd test in Karachi

From Rawalpindi to Karachi

Rawalpindi test ended in draw while Pakistan prepared a batting paradise in a stadium where we are supposed to be viewing a battle between bat and bowl but sorry to say, Pakistan didn't utilize the advantage it got while staging a home game against a top cricketing side, otherwise Pakistan did play against them in UAE, but staging game in Dubai and the same in Lahore, or any other city of Pakistan is something else, words cannot express. But sorry to say, what I am watching on TV, Karachi again disappointed, because houseful Karachi is something I can't imagine.

There have been political reasons which I am not going to use to plagiarize this cricketing post

Because the games political parties of Pakistan in Karachi, is nothing to hide of but it is a shame that people still support these political parties instead of demanding them to give them their birth right of earning rightfully in their own town or nearby town instead of allowing them to shift themselves to Karachi just because they want to earn rightfully but they have given advantage to the political parties to have their unnatural vote bank which is sans in Karachi, be a reality; otherwise they aren't taking ownership of the city just like I am; who is a Karachi-Boy; but alas! this is a cricket blog hence it is better discussing these things over here.

Coming back to Cricket - The Second Test being played in Karachi

After watching two days play, I want to utter a single liner; Pakistan lost the home-advantage in a home-series on home turf (because Pakistan usually played their home series in UAE), just because of the way pitch played, because like Michael Haysman showed in Spiderworm graph that it showed day two was inconsistent and bounce was low, which means from day 3 on-wards (as right now when I am typing these lines, day two at Karachi ended where still Aussies are persisting with batting after being played 180 dot overs); pitch is going to deteriorate and I must agree with Haysman, that spider-worm is going to tilt towards more inconsistent and uneven bounce which is curtains for Pakistan, because now Aussies have nullified Pakistan winning, now only either Australia can win it from here otherwise this game can only be a draw, which is not good for the test match cricket and is definitely negativity from PCB end, otherwise I always give reference to 2006 Karachi Test between Pakistan and India, where it was a green-top and this is where IK Pathan stroked a hat-trick, but later-on it was Kamran Akmal and Abdul Razzaq who stole the show and took game away from India, rest it was Muhammad Asif Show.

But Investment on Curators should definitely be on the cards

Here I disagree with Ramiz Raja to that extent that pitches yes! are a problem, but addressing a problem is one thing, and application for removal of this problem is another thing, because drop-in pitches I don't think is the resolution to the problem;

Why I am saying this

1. It is an expensive venture, hence instead of utilizing that money to advertise DIP (drop-in pitch), invest on training on curators who can consistently create good, healthy, lively and supporting wicket regularly on regular period of time.
2. DIP venture in Australia and NZ are on those grounds, which are multi-venture, means multiple games are being played, like I remember; MCG was utilized as soccer field during Sydney Olympics, not in Cricket-Only grounds like Pakistan have.
3. If it is necessary, which I know is necessary; than initially firstly invest on research and development on clay and horticulture in Pakistan, because it is a science which makes sure that the wicket we prepare is crisp and good for both batters and bowlers, instead of acting like a 'burger' to visit a super-market, select a template and without any training and development on account of curators who're supposed to be MAINTAINING these wickets, will surely backfire.

FIRSTLY, invest on research and development 

Because Aussies also became world champion, just because they believed on research and development and hence now their cricketing researches are being utilized world wide, so why aren't we're conducting and making our minds on investment in research and development, because I believe Pakistan is so big, instead we have the minds of only utilizing Nandipur clay for creating composition of wicket, it should be aligned with infrastructure work being conducted in Pakistan; like Rafi Cricket Stadium in Karachi and Arbab Niaz and Hayatabad Stadiums in Peshawar City, but when your playing wickets are not up to the mark, these makeshift ventures i.e. DIP (drop-in wickets), and we should appreciate these people (who're horticulturists), because let admit one fact, this is a fact, and the composition of clay and percentage of different clay will make sure we are going to get a support playing 22 yards, instead of these graveyards.

With response to the above Clip, first of of all I was happy to see, the same PSL sort preparation for this series unlike the one NZ and later on England cancelled, due to lack of interests from higher management, but this current PCB management head by Ramiz Raja, at the shadows of two tours being cancelled amid security threats, has made sure that Pakistan's Cricket should be broadcasted as a viewable product, because as soon as RR came into power, he initiated with PCB Shop, where everyone can order Pakistan Cricket Official Merchandise, than afterwards invested in broadcasting deals, because of which GEO SUPER which was previously partnering with PTV Sports but this might be my own opinion but I personally felt, they were aligned with Indian funded Media Personnel, as this time round when deal was finalized with ARY Group, the standard of presentation improved drastically and not only that, but also related to increase in broadcasting and streaming partners, which was sans when it was aligned with GEO group.

Coming back to the series

Currently when I am writing these lines, day three of the first test between two teams have been concluded, and tomorrow is fourth day of the test match but it has been predicted that tomorrow is supposed to be somewhat rainy day, but what I am seeing and with respect to the above mentioned video, I also agree with their point of view, that if weather allowed, and if our bowlers bowled their heart out just like they did during their tour to Bangladesh, where Sajid Khan plummeted the Bangladesh Side on their home soil twice within 24 hours, but hoping against hope, Australia is fully potent to save this test match, hence if I utter in local street language, it'd be a test of skills for not only skipper of Pakistani team but also set of bowling skills and variations of our bowlers and fielders supporting the cause because now Australia is avoided the follow on, but at least Pakistan should go for the aggression and try to bowl them (Australia) out inside our scored runs, because it'd give an head-on advantage when we are going to come for batting again in third innings so that during the fourth innings, we can exert pressure over the visitors, because this pitch (Rawalpindi) is surely going to support bowlers hence we can use non orthodox bowlers like Babar Azam and/or Fawad Alam along with our regular bowlers, such type of thinking should be incorporated IF WE WANT TO WIN THIS TEST MATCH otherwise I might have to agree with Mr. Nauman Niaz Sahab, that this test match is surely going towards a draw.

Coming to across the border

Similarly, today India plummeted Sri Lanka at Mohali with similar circumstances like Pakistan did to Bangladesh in second test in 2021, means India batted once only whereas Sri Lanka once followed on, and secondly they were unable to contemplate in front of the mammoth score by the hosts, similarly this win means India achieved precious two points in on going world test championship, for which Pakistan and Australia are fighting for these precious two points because one single two poin-ter can change the standings of the points table, for which I'd be eying on how both teams play.
