ICC Champions Trophy 2025 - Current (realistic) State of Hosting Grounds

Gaddafi Stadium right now going through massive upgradation, although too little too late, because anything which remains during the tournament, would definitely bring disgrace to Pakistan as hosts, as currently this tournament is hybrid-ly hosted by Pakistan and the UAE (Dubai stadium to be precisely)

Country should have had come first instead of self

Champions Trophy is going to initiated from February 2025
but just view it is 28th December, 2024; and still NBCS is
in grey structures
Because if country was priority, they would had initiated upgradation during Ramiz Raja tenure, instead they (the PCB) wasted massive time, (India is just taking advantage, but it should be confessed that India benefitted from us), I personally felt, Pakistan should have reacted the time (2021), things must have been much better instead of last minute haphazard upgradation, on the contrary, India at the time of 2011 Cricket World Cup, started renovation of their cricketing grounds at 2008, including Wankhede and Chennai, while Pakistan was hosting Asia Cup 2008, where after this tournament, hosting rights of Pakistan from ICC Cricket World Cup 2011 were taken away from Pakistan, but still Pakistan didn't learn from their mistakes.

We are good in pointing fingers

This is a case of generational critique that focuses on blaming others rather than learning from past mistakes and committing to continuous improvement. It highlights a tendency toward narcissism, which hinders the support and promotion of junior members in various contexts.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 - My say on this saga

My feelings about the decision to not host the Champions Trophy are entirely my personal opinion and reflect a deep sense of pride in reclaiming the integrity of the country. It’s understandable to see the hosting of such a prestigious event as a way to showcase Pakistan's capabilities and improvements to the international community.

The way sporting events can influence perceptions of safety and stability is significant, especially when it comes to a sport as beloved as cricket in Pakistan. The investment in security and hospitality highlights the progress made in these areas, and it's frustrating when those efforts aren't recognized in decisions about hosting major events.

The frustration with the hybrid model or relocation is also understandable but also it is something void of national integrity; it feels like a missed opportunity to reclaim Pakistan’s place in the cricketing world. Hosting the Champions Trophy could have been a powerful statement about the resilience and passion of Pakistanis, not just in cricket but on a national level.

What do you think are the next steps for Pakistan Cricket Board and the government to advocate for hosting major events in the future? It must feel crucial to find ways to effectively communicate Pakistan's progress and capability to the global cricket community.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 - Creating an unfavorable optic for Pakistan

Pakistan if not taking decisions sensibly,
have themselves to be blamed
India's refusal to travel to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 is undeniably damaging to the country's reputation, especially at a time when Pakistan is actively seeking to host ICC events in the future. This decision raises significant doubts about Pakistan's ability to successfully bid for and host global cricket tournaments on its own territory.

Motivated by political factors, this refusal not only undermines Pakistan’s position in the cricketing world but also delivers a clear message of instability and hesitation regarding its capacity to host major events. The consequences of this decision are profound; it limits Pakistan's chances of securing prestigious ICC events in the future and risks severely harming its cricketing reputation on the international stage. Pakistan must address this challenge head-on to reclaim its standing in the global cricket arena.

Champions trophy 2025 - perception management and Pakistan

Immaturity from Indian media houses, trying their
level best to divert attention from their team's dismal
performance in South Africa

Perception management, a term which is quite alien for a nation like us, which likes itself to be deemed as "lab-rats", who are good-for-nothing slaves, and following my previous blog post, do not know how to connect the dots, instead, if there is someone within them, who is following such precedence, they entice him or her to leave his or her path and follow theirs, in my term, turning them into zombie-like-creatures, who can't take decisions on itself, and only likes to follow orders from their superiors.

The onus on us!

Because a nation is known by the decisions they take, Indians, no doubt our competition but compare yourselves with them, how they have been behaving and how we have been behaving, although their decisions might not suit our perspective, just see how their media has degraded themselves to the level of surface cleaner, who has bee paving their way to achieving their long term goals, whereas our media houses have been playing political games, advocating this political party or that, for which giving India a chance to bash us globally and creating a sense of disrespect for Pakistan on majority including those who're living inside Pakistan, are we ready yet for this standard warfare?

Clarity of mindset

We should teach our juniors how to connect the dots to understand the circumstances surrounding them because right now the situation in Pakistan has been wobbling where Pakistanis have been acting like a monkey who has a jar in their hands but don't know how to open the lid, whereas India has been an individual who after analyzing the situation, taking the jar from Pakistan's hands telling that it is not good for them, opening it and taking advantage of the same, and we have been acting like someone who have been crying over spilt milk, is this the future we are promising our juniors?

Champions Trophy 2025 - media wars

There was a time when elders tested their juniors' temperaments. Similarly, I agree with Sikandar Bakht that India's actions seem like a counterpropaganda scheme to gauge reactions. Notably, there has been no written communication from the ICC or BCCI regarding this matter.

Where is Pakistan in all this?

Currently, Mr. Najam Sethi is advocating for a "hybrid model," proposing that if India refuses to play in Pakistan, Pakistan should reciprocate by not playing in India. However, audience feedback suggests that Pakistan is suffering due to its overly accommodating stance towards India. Priority should have been given to asserting Pakistan's position, as India is now exerting its authority over Pakistan—a situation we allowed to happen.

Indian media playing litmus!

I am also advocating that Indian media play Brutus because just like in chemistry lab experiments, we used to utilize litmus tests to determine whether we were clear of the residue or if the remaining residue was creating a chemical reaction, The same has been the case with India, where India has been testing again and again on how the reaction is getting changed since India has been a nation who like toggling with statistics and data, do like to take account of the variance in responses, and sorry to say, we as Pakistanis have been treating ourselves as lab-rat and lab-assistant for countries like India, instead of taking initiative on our own, and hence this has been my take on why and how we have been responsible for giving India chance to exploit us, because India only takes advantage of our own actions, so instead of blaming India, it is my personal opinion to recheck our own collars, this is what even the religion told us to do.

The blame goes on us

When the Pakistan team was preparing to leave to play the World Cup in India in 2023, it was high time that Pakistan should have negotiated a tit-for-tat approach. We are sending our cricket team to your country in reciprocation, and we are expecting the same in 2025 when you'll be sending your cricket team to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy.

Instead

India has been working negatively due to our own نالائقی that it has now stopped their Kabaddi team from travelling to Pakistan, and similarly, they have been working really hard to create a mindset that Pakistan is not a safe country for not only Indians but overall on the global stage, and for that purposes, they have been statistically active on how Pakistani nation have been reacting on the microscopic point of view, since I personally have been experiencing my own point of view diverting, had it not about writing it down on a Word File on my laptop, I might have had also fall prey, but since I have a very bad habit of writing them down as notes, and similarly while writing them down, it recalled me, what I was thinking 2 months ago and how differently I have been thinking two months from that time to today, this has been my timid approach, and while following this approach, I found several vacuum points (missing spaces) which were getting hushed under the carpet and instead diverting attention towards petty issues, and like I mentioned above, we have been acting ourselves as lab-rats.

ICC Champions Trophy 2025 - and Pakistan's lack of counterpropaganda

India has consistently provided reasons for Pakistan not hosting an ICC event on its soil. While this may seem like standard procedure, it highlights a lack of long-term planning that should have been addressed much earlier. I find myself partially agreeing with some Indian broadcasters who attribute this situation to the ICC’s mismanagement. As one broadcaster pointed out, should any damage occur, it would fall under the ICC's responsibility. They question if Pakistan, even if it manages to navigate these challenges, will be able to develop its cricket facilities on time.

In today's world, the state of cricket stadiums is crucial for showcasing a country’s cricket infrastructure. It's disheartening that in 2024, we are still debating the viewing experiences within our cricket stadiums. Meanwhile, in South Africa, fans thoroughly enjoy their time at the cricketing venues, reflecting a more advanced and fan-friendly infrastructure.

Promoting their cricket

Iqbal stadium, in Faisalabad
Cricket stadiums are crucial for showcasing a nation's cricketing capabilities on the global stage. The
recently concluded ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 in India is a testament to this, as India successfully demonstrated its cricketing prowess through its world-class stadiums. It is noteworthy that India's infrastructure is so advanced that if the BCCI were to host CWC games at every international-standard stadium, each venue might only get a single game due to the sheer number of high-quality options available.

In stark contrast, Pakistan's situation highlights significant infrastructural shortcomings. We have only a handful of international-standard stadiums in Lahore, Karachi, Rawalpindi, Multan, and Faisalabad. This limited number underscores the urgent need for Pakistan to invest in and expand its cricketing infrastructure to meet international standards and improve its standing on the global cricket stage.

Pakistani finest laying eggs on Irish shores

The Pakistani cricket team performed poorly during their tour of England. They lost their first T20I against Ireland on their home turf, which exposed the team's issues. As Pakistanis, we should take responsibility for the team's decline.

Since the end of the 2023 ICC Cricket World Cup, there has been a lot of drama surrounding the team. The team management replaced Babar Azam with Shan Masood for red-ball cricket and Shaheen Afridi for white ball cricket. During the tour of Australia, Shaheen Afridi was not included as there were no T20Is. However, he was introduced again during the New Zealand tour. The skipper who won Lahore Qalandar's two successive PSL titles is now on the verge of a complete whitewash on foreign soil. Babar Azam was reintroduced.

The situation has exposed two significant issues in Pakistani cricket. Firstly, the team management needs to address the team's issues proactively rather than making hasty decisions. Secondly, society should support the team and its players during difficult times, rather than criticizing them and creating drama.

In conclusion, it is essential to evaluate the performance of the Pakistani cricket team during their tour of England. The team's management must focus on addressing the team's issues, while society should support the team and its players during challenging times.
  1. Beneficiary management
  2. Lack of system

Beneficiary management

I am going to use a direct approach here since, like Doc Brown from the Back to the Future trilogy, something is conspicuous, if we go through to the second trilogy of the same franchise, when Marty and Doc Brown for the second time return to 1955 to retrieve Almanac from Young Biff, while giving 1955 currency to Marty, this specific dialogue was communicated by Doc, and similarly, I am also acting like Doc Brown at that time after watching Pakistan's downfall trend since ICC Cricket world cup 2023, Pakistan's performance has been on the downward trend, for which I assume, who is getting the benefit of how dismal Pakistan's performance has been? Who is bringing benefits to this pathetic and dismal performance?

1.1: Product placement

As an outsider observer, I cannot help but ponder who stands to gain from the constant decline of Pakistani cricket. Seeing the country's once-glorious reputation in the international arena tarnished is disheartening. I am left to wonder what measures can be taken to safeguard our national image and restore our team's former glory.

Lack of system process

Pakistan cricket lacks a proper system since ever none except those at the helm of affairs knows what is about to come, but I am sorry to say, none of them is accounting for what we are giving back to the country, since the time of the recent pandemic, we have been seeing 4 international cricket venues only i.e., Karachi, Lahore, Multan, and Rawalpindi because this never has been on the list of priority, but why complaining about cricketers and their caretakers, they evolve from the society, so whatever we have been evolved, so we are required to take account for our own actions because if we rectify our own actions instead of sniffing for other's greys', similarly respecting the system is another thing, which pertains something on our society as well since if we observe Karachi's traffic, it is also a reflection of what and how we as a society, and likewise a single sport nation respects the system, the process and rule of the law.

2.1: "Mid-Town's" finest

The cricket community has been struggling with the "megalomaniac" and "narcissistic" mindsets that have been negatively impacting team performance. However, we have identified a solution to overcome this challenge and take the team to new heights of success.

Incorporating foreign coaches into domestic teams is the way forward to improve the quality of strategy planning and implementation. The national cricket side may not require basic training, but innovative strategies are crucial to succeed at the international level. By bringing in these expert coaches, we can access their wealth of experience and expertise to help us achieve our goals.

It is time to take responsibility for our actions and recognize that our actions have consequences. Neglecting strategic planning in cricket is an example of how prioritizing personal interests over creating a just and equitable society can lead to failure. Therefore, we must focus on solutions that can help us overcome this challenge.

In conclusion, we must prioritize strategic planning in the cricket community to overcome the "megalomaniac" and "narcissistic" mindsets and improve team performance. With the incorporation of foreign coaches into domestic teams, we can access the expertise necessary to develop innovative strategies and take our cricket community to the next level of success. Let us embrace this opportunity with confidence and determination to create a brighter future for our team and community.

The recent loss we have experienced in cricket has brought to light the fact that we are lagging behind in this sporting arena. The current trend of fast-paced, modern cricket has challenged our current playing style, as the ability to chase 180 targets has become commonplace.

Looking ahead to the upcoming ICC World T20 event in West Indies and USA, we must ask ourselves the necessary questions. Do we possess the appropriate strategy to overcome the challenges posed by modern-day cricket? Do our skills and mindset equip us to compete with the best teams in the world at the highest level?

The answers to these questions will ultimately determine our success in the upcoming event. It is vital that we acknowledge the need for change in our approach, and work towards preparing ourselves to compete in the dynamic, fast-paced world of modern cricket.

While comparing Asia Cup 2023 Pakistan v ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 India and the propaganda going to errupt

While I am writing these lines, Pakistan lost another World Cup Warm-up game against Australia, but on the contrary, I was thinking What Pakistan actually planned while it was bidding for Asia Cup and similarly ICC Champions Trophy 2025, and ironically how Pakistan actually staged it, was a shame, because as we all know how Indian propaganda machines work especially against Pakistan.

Several countries visited Pakistan... but still...

This is a shame, that our country possesses sleeping cells have been working against Pakistani interests, my query have been the same, that why such amount of بیغیرتی when it comes to Pakistani interests???? When Sri Lanka whom 2009 Lahore attacks were happened, visited Pakistan several times, Bangladesh visited, Afghanistan, even South Africa male and female teams visited Pakistan, and likewise Ireland women team visited Pakistan, New Zealand, England, and Australia too visited Pakistan, just because Ramiz Raja and co. took stance FOR PAKISTAN, whereas the current PCB regime which included Najam Sethi and Zaka Ashraf, do not have any criteria for safeguarding Pakistani interests.

Pakistani interests being manipulated.

Because I fear after some time, we are going to watch such documentaries across the border, which would be dominated by this thought of Pakistan was not able to stage its Asia Cup completely on its soil, and similarly I am also not very optimistic of Pakistan staging whole champions trophy on Pakistani soil, because CT2025 is going to be staged in 2025 and right now we are touching 2024 and afterwards approximate Spring 2025 when CT2025 is supposedly held, but we all remember how previously Champions Trophy was shifted from Pakistan to South Africa, so ain't that the case India might not manipulate the same strategy again??? When are we going to think for Pakistan??? Are we prepared to counter for the same???

ICC comfortable with "Champions Trophy 2025" being staged in Pakistan but not India

This is a shameful act, with that India has been blabbing about Pakistan, asking for a picture perfect situation in Pakistan, although it has been confirmed that the "Fake Security" woes erupted from India, hence on which grounds, India is showing apprehensions, when Muslims and Minorities in India are in apprehension themselves, how India is supposed to be answering this?

What about Kashmir?

Pakistanis do care for the treatment India is doing in Kashmir, and blaming it to Pakistan and advertising as it is being acclaimed by Pakistan, whereas these are Kashmiris who are against India, because if we go through history pages, it was a Muslim Majority area being governed by a Hindu ruler, and at the time of partition, just because, the ruler favored India, taking no respect to what Kashmiris wanted, which IS THE MAJOR reason for apprehension in that region, not because of only supported by Pakistan, because if support is concerned, Pakistanis are unlike Indian, we as Muslims are taught never to eye on the weakness of even the foes, that's why we as Muslims doesn't eye on Indian's weaknesses unlike Indians who always eye for opportunity for mocking and to CREATE A GROUND, for giving an excuse in the mind,

Spreading Fake News Against Pakistan and getting proud on it

Srivastava Group, as exposed by EU Disinfo Labs, The little know Srivastava Group is suddenly in news over spreading fake news against Pakistan. EU DisinfoLab, a non-governmental fact check NGO in Europe, claims that an Indian network is spreading anti-Pakistan propaganda through 265 ‘fake online portals’ in 65 countries All these ‘fake media outlets’ are connected with the Srivastava Group in New Delhi, India. This is the same Srivastava group whose International Institute for Non-Aligned Studies (IAINS) made arrangements for 23 EU MPs to visit non-official Kashmir and meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi in October this year.
The Disinfo Lab found that many people are sharing the fake news being spread by Russia by quoting the EP Today website. After this, when the lab started investigating this website, it came to light that this website is connected to India. After this, several foreign websites were investigated and it became evident that many fake news sites were connected with New Delhi.

So didn't it mean?

India is definitely responsible for unrest in Pakistan? OK I might be patriotic, but just think for a moment, beneficiary management; who is there to take advantage of 'unrest situation' in Pakistan? Yes, you're right, it is India, furthermore if you monitor Politics in Pakistan, and their links to India, you might have connected dots, and current political unrest against ruling party in Pakistan is BEING supported and apprehended by INDIA, because I don't want to act like a blind-patriot but just follow the Indian media and their praises to opposition parties point-of-view, as they (the opposition political parties of Pakistan) were narrating Indian Point of View, because the way Pakistan have been vocal on Indian abuse to Pakistan, Opposition Parties on narrative of inflation, creating opposition in the mind of the masses, and just like a slow-poison, creating a permanent unrest in Pakistan.

Enough of this political portion but where is sports

It is requested to read last two lines of the previous paragraph, India is playing a slow-poison game, although I must admit, inflation is all time high, where 1 liter of petrol costed me 149 PKR per liter, but the way Pakistan being vocal to India unlike previous times, as these opposition political parties, the way they have been vocal, don't have guts to say the nation's narrative on international platform.

Why I am saying this?

Because even a dog sits on a new place, while wagging its tail to clean the place, so do I need to say that these opposition political parties are willing to ridicule us while degrading us being less than a wagging-dog?

I am not a blind supporter of this political party

But I am also not a supporter me being treated less than a wagging-dog, although petrol is almost 150 PKR per liter, which is more than I afford to ride bike, instead now planning to buy a mountain bicycle for going to my office, but still like I mentioned above, I do not want myself to degrade myself as to a wagging-dog, because the same is being propagated by India, degrading my nation because we're Muslims.

Now most of the Indian are going to screenshot this

But I am also assured of the same that they do not have the guts (not all Indians) to completely mention and credit this blog post, because this has been their mantra, chup kar piche se hamla (hitting from the back) like a coward.

On the basis of above mentioned

The EU DisInfo Lab mentioned how India has been hitting from the back as they have been incapable of fighting on the ground, as on 21 May, the Indian Express reported that Chinese troops had entered the Indian territory in the Galwan River valley and objected to the road construction by India within the (undisputed) Indian territory. The road under construction is a branch of the Darbuk–Shyok–DBO Road (DSDBO) which leads into the Galwan valley.[k] The report also stated that "the Chinese pitched 70–80 tents in the area and then reinforced the area with troops, heavy vehicles, and monitoring equipment."[172] On 24 May, another report said that the Chinese soldiers invaded India at three different places: Hot Springs, Patrol Point 14, and Patrol Point 15. At each of these places, around 800–1,000 Chinese soldiers reportedly crossed the LAC and settled at a place about 2–3 km (1–2 mi) from the border, pitching tents and deploying heavy vehicles and monitoring equipment. The report added that India also deployed troops in the area and stationed them 300–500 metres (984–1,640 ft) from the Chinese troops.[41][42] The EurAsian Times stated that the Chinese forces "have a huge build-up including military-style bunkers, new permanent structures, military trucks, and road-building equipment".[173] On 30 May, Ajai Shukla reported that thousands of Chinese soldiers were "consolidating their positions," and that there were 18 guns at Pangong Tso and about 12 guns in the Galwan valley. Indian troops had taken up positions to block any further advance by the PLA towards the DSDBO Road.[174]

On 27 May 2020, the Chinese Ambassador to India as well as a Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman stated that the overall situation was stable.[175] However, news reports continued stating that thousands of Chinese soldiers were moving into the disputed regions in Ladakh. This move prompted India to deploy more troops.[176][177] Chinese infrastructure development was also reported in Gogra–Hot Springs. Tracks in satellite imagery suggest that PLA troops make forays into Indian territory here.[178]

Galwan Valley clash

On 15 June, at patrolling point 14, Indian[l] and Chinese troops clashed for six hours in a steep section of a mountainous region in the Galwan Valley. The immediate cause of the incident is unknown, with both sides releasing contradictory official statements in the aftermath.[179][180] Beijing said that Indian troops had attacked Chinese troops first,[181] while on 18 June The Hindu quoted a "senior government official" in the Ministry of External Affairs of India who said their troops were ambushed with dammed rivulets being released and boulders being thrown by Chinese troops.[182] The statement said this happened while they were patrolling a disputed area where Colonel Santosh Babu had destroyed a Chinese tent two days earlier.[182] While soldiers carry firearms, due to decades of tradition designed to reduce the possibility of an escalation, agreements disallowed usage of firearms, but the Chinese side was reported to possess iron rods, clubs and batons wrapped in barbed wire and clubs embedded with nails.[183][184] Hand-to-hand combat broke out, and the Indian soldiers called for reinforcements from a post about 2 miles (3.2 km) away. Eventually, up to 600 men were engaged in combat using stones, batons, iron rods, and other makeshift weapons. The fighting, which took place in near-total darkness, lasted for up to six hours.[185] The Defence Ministry of India said in its 2020 year end review that China used "unorthodox weapons"

On the basis of above

Is India is conditions, that apprehensions only in Pakistan and India is safe for staging the ICC Events? We do not want India to get rid of their ICC events, but when they have been critical of Pakistan staging 2025 Champions Trophy is unjust, keeping in mind India is staging 3 events whereas Pakistan only one but still security condition in Pakistan is much better than India, because the way intolerance erupting in India is something worth mentioning, because if they are critical towards Pakistan, than as per our elders, If You Point Finger, Rest of the Fingers Point Towards You

Slow Propaganda against Pakistan

This is a mindset of a common human being, than it looks for a common similarity, and if India is trying to use DisInfo momentum, where creating multiple similar comment web-sources to create a common narrative against Pakistan, imagine you as a third party (you're neither an Indian nor a Pakistani) if see multiple different websites advocating same narrative is something enough to change your mindset.

And I personally feel

The last line of the previous paragraph clearly elaborates Why India is creating a negative narrative against Pakistan when situation in their own graveyard backyard is not picture perfect, whether it comes to recently passing pandemic, so why emphasizing on creating negative narrative for Pakistan while passing such comments which raise eyebrows, although they (The Indians) have been found saying that they way SL team was attacked in Pakistan (although the same team re-toured in 2019), and the the way NZ and later England withdraw their tours (although Australia, NZ and England have confirmed their tour to Pakistan just before PSL 7), but my response is that when Pakistan has been granted 2025 ICC CT event and 2023 Asia Cup, so being neighbors, they should show some sane, because sanity prevails only when it has been confirmed that Srivastava Group has been responsible for creating MIS-REPORTING against Pakistan, and a person (even if he/she's an Indian), claiming insanely that Pakistan is supporting terrorists, so it cements the fact that India has been busy propagating and has been intensely propagating although they have been bluntly exposed but still continuously narrating the same point again and again with regular intervals just to stamp authority which brings a shame to whole of the Indian Nation.
