Pakistan Cricket - the infrastructure within Pakistan Stadiums

This is something shameful in 2020 that we're still looking for a better infrastructure of Cricket playing arenas in Pakistan, other countries have invested money in their infrastructure like it is of no expense, including the countries where Cricket is staged not by their locals but by desi's like Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans etc. i.e. Stadiums in the UAE and Qatar most notably, but the conditions of those arenas are definitely much better than Stadiums in a cricket-maniac country like Pakistan. I personally felt, the conditions of stadiums in Pakistan ranks the lowest compared to India, Sri Lanka, and the Bangladesh if I rank them within the stadiums in Pakistan, where I am not accounting in the stadiums of the middle east like the UAE and the stadium in Saudi Arabia and in the country of Qatar.

1: What should the PCB be doing?

1.1: Staging games at smaller venues

Pakistan Cricket Board (the PCB) should stage their major games on smaller venues like the countries in the neighbourhood are doing most notably India, who instead of Mumbai, Delhi etc, also include their calendar on smaller venues, therefore it is beneficial for them on the long run, therefore the same is to be applied for Pakistan as well.

1.2: Outsourcing the Stadiums to the Franchises

The way to follow when we're subscribed to franchise-based-league system i.e. The PSL a.k.a. HBL PSL, which is in its 5th edition; we require to follow the same plan what India did, like giving their major stadiums to the franchise-owners, where BCCI is acting as a supervisor, this is the mantra Pakistan should also incorporate in the tournaments and infrastructures, where it'd start healthy competitions, furthermore it'd replace the recently abolished departmental cricket, because if we want to abolish the existing system, we would definitely have to provide with an effective alternative so that people won't retaliate in incorporating the change.

1.3: Provide space for expansion cum extension of already existing infrastructure

This is a major flaw in the think-tank of the PCB management during the recent years, like having expansion spaces in expanding their already available stadiums, for providing support for future expansions, like having hawk-eye equipment installation arena within the stadium instead of having manually incorporate  a-makeshift-arrangement in stadiums, because this is the standard Australia, England, New Zealand and South Africa are following therefore instead of the makeshift-arrangement, we should properly invest the amount because it is about the country because when we're staging our home season at home, it is the responsibility of us as a nation to promote and market the series as marketing the brand-name Pakistan.

1.4: Different/Alternative venues for the home-series'

This is also related to what Andy Atkinson also insisted that not to reuse the same square regularly, therefore I'd continue from where he left, that in order to avoid reusing the same square again and again, we should go for staging games according to a fixed schedule.

1.4.1: Fixing a schedule is the main theme for properly revitalizing the home-season

This is the major important fact, because staging international games according to the shuffling mechanism where if during the home-season just like currently Sri Lanka toured Pakistan and afterwards Bangladesh toured Pakistan, but there is no charm because both series' games are being staged on the same venues where the former series was played, which is not good for the marketing and managing the brand name "Pakistan".

1.4.2: Stop using single venue for a particular tournament

There have been a practice in Pakistan Cricket, that we stage our national tournaments like The Pakistan Cup, National T20 tournament and the Quaid-e-Azam tournament, mostly staged on a single venue, which has two deficiencies;

1.4.2.1: Using the same square regularly

This is also a major flaw, because we usually use the same pitch for staging multiple games which is not good for the pitch because it deteriorates the quality therefore we're compromising the quality on the quantity.

1.4.2.2: No interest for the broadcasters

This is also a major flaw, because a broadcaster is supposed to be providing the interest and the marketing of the product, for which is the brand-name of "Pakistan" we require to pay definite attention for which a broadcaster is supposed to be able to find something which could definitely provide a softer-image because staging all games on single venue won't do justice for the cause we're so willing to stage home games on the home-turf.

    1.4.2.3: The CSR campaign

The PCB should also incorporate CSR campaigns like providing schools with complementary passes and tickets, so that interest in young ones into the game should be evolved, for which PCB should start taking baby-steps from today which would take effect within 10 years therefore the PCB has to take steps for having effective Vision and Mission of the plans while having strategic Mission accomplishments which most of the management students could understand properly.
