The Quaid-e-Azam Trophy 2020-21 between KP and CP at Karachi

Quaid-e-Azam Trophy - 2020-21 Final being played at Karachi

Finally, Q-e-A trophy is about to get to an end, which despite Corona Virus pandemic threats and the PSL break between 14th to 17 November, 2020, is coming to an end, which unlike previous years, the TV presentation was given utmost importance, as like I mentioned above, that due to pandemic threats, crowds are not allowed for time being in and within Pakistan, TV presentation is the only way, these games can be watched, although there have been sudden glitches, was quite better then the previous years, hence kudos to the PTV team for putting such a great show, again I must remind, there were glitches, but if they do not repeat those glitches in the next season i.e. 2021-22; I am going to be one of few people who're going to place pat on the back in appreciation.

Current Season of Q-e-A trophy

Skippers of participating teams posing with the Q-e-A trophy
Current season of the Q-e-A trophy got a lot of hype due to success of the National T20 Cup, because most of the players got their recognition off National T20 and now they were related to their respective teams, like Shan Masood basically belongs from Karachi but now represents Central Punjab, hence Shan Masood is now representing CP, hence improvement of TV production relates to players getting recognition in domestic circuit, but sorry to say we Pakistanis are always impatient specially when people see anything happening good, they start to expect more and more, instead they should remember that reaping takes time, it is not like the same like replicated in the story "Jack and the Bean Stalk"; reality doesn't act this way.

Give Time to This Structure

Because what I watched, players participating were toiling their hearts out, furthermore we got to see new players, but sorry to say pitches were not testing the skills of both batters and bowlers, as they were very much predictable, instead I would had recommended playing on green-tops, swinging conditions, etc. If NHPC brags they have been working really hard, they should have made sure that monotony should be eradicated, what is the use of playing in different conditions, when in different conditions we got to know that pitches are going to behave the same way like it did previously.

Just look how Pakistan got exposed in New Zealand

Pakistan got exposed badly in foreign conditions
This is the main reason I said pitches in Pakistani domestic circuit should test the skills of both batters and bowlers, it is not about scoring or taking 10 Wickets per Match, instead it should go on the philosophy of testing the character of participating cricketers, because if this thing was a benchmark, why our cricketers while performing in Pakistan domestic unable to maintain the same standards internationally? The whole world has learnt how to play short-pitch delivery and here I have touched my 30s listening that; Pakistan are not good in chasing high scores, and secondly Pakistanis are not good in playing short-pitch and bouncer deliveries, for god's sake, this is a shame internationally that Pakistan was one of those countries bought innovation in modern cricket, now without ideas?
