Where's the legacy of skipper?

If I go through to cricket management around the region, as sorry to say, we as Pakistanis do not lead from the front instead we're followers, therefore even if we want to follow, follow with respect to the ground realities instead of bringing a template to an alien interface. Because by allowing Misbah-ul-Haq having 3 positions at once, which was supposed to be derived from New Zealand, without knowing the culture of NZ, which ain't applicable in Pakistan, as here people tend to enjoy when other person replicates vulnerability, therefore these people tend to enjoy such stuff instead of indulging themselves into something constructive, therefore needless to say; incorporation of the NZ management is something like کوا چلا ہنس کی چال، اپنی بھی چال بھول گیا۔

Pakistan does require proper research and a blueprint plan to be laid down with proper vision and its mission, with sincerity and loyalty, as Pakistan Cricket and Pakistan as a country both require the both with the bottom of the heart.

What about the skipper?

A skipper in the national team is supposed to be having experience and the expertise of captaining the domestic sides, where as both Azhar Ali and Babar Azam do not have the continuous experience of captaining a domestic side, unlike Australia and England where they groom and pick from the domestic sides and than they make him the national side captain, Such is not the case with Pakistan and the current batch of skippers' being selected off their individual performances instead of looking into the capability on how they're going to manage, which clearly exposes lack of incentive, motivation for the management towards selection and management of a captain who could lead and proactively make decisions on the basis of current scenarios. I personally do not want a captain without ammunition, without ammunition, a skipper is like a bullet without a bullet shell, and that is what the PCB has actually done with captaining the national sides of Pakistan Cricket which had a legacy starting as early as Mr. Kardar to recent as Wasim Akram, after that we just had toothless captains.

Let's get to the point straight forward, Where in the world does a cricket team is made upon/on public demand? Nowhere, I understand people and supporters have attachment to those players/cricketers but this is the responsibility of the back-end management to make a clearway path of what they're going to incorporate, but for that; they'd have to lay-down a proper blueprint on what they'd be laying down their plans i.e. the Vision, and how to lay-down/implement that Vision plan i.e. the Mission.

I am not here saying being a Karachiite but being a Pakistani and student of management studies, I personally feel, this act was immature which was not supposed to be expected of a professional organization like the PCB.

Blame goes to the players' as well

I was listening to Ex-Bowling Coach Azhar Mehmood and the way he used to practice and work hard to overcome their deficiency is the way he developed himself, because of that; we were comfortable that we have Razzaq and Mahmood in lower middle order, which is sans in current team where not a single individual takes pride in taking responsibility just like the former used to.

Consistency in the managerial decisions

Like I mentioned earlier, the management has to be firm on their stance instead of being as fragile as a frozen jelly, as we all know in the media-circle; there are lobbies which incorporate their agendas and therefore acting like devils' advocate.

Media making it a regional war

It is the media which is making it a pan-Pakistan regional war, like no Karachi player is in the team, it is very sad helm of affairs because Karachi was supposed to be Nursery for Pakistan Cricket, and being the Nursery, no player from this Coast-Line-City is literally shameful a helm. But the fact is; we require to work on the long term, Vision is laid down but the problem is the implementation part i.e. the Mission, and for that; the PCB is required to have a proper media cell; which accompanies the National and the regional cricket teams according to the current structure, because the media have been looking for hyped news, for which the responsibility definitely falls on the PCB and the regional bodies to eradicate it.

Coach Mickey Arthur

Things have heated up in the Pakistani camp; changes, flurry of retirements, reinstatement and now a breaking news that Pakistan's Cricket Team coach Mickey Arthur, is looking for the coaching assignment of England Cricket Team, soon after PCB decided to continue with Arthur till the World T20 event in Australia next year in 2020.

Therefore he does not have his interests with the Pakistani team therefore it is high time for the Pakistani management to look for alternatives and proactive to replace Arthur instead of waiting for him to bid farewell anytime soon.

Flurry of Retirements

In the span of two weeks, we have heard about the retirements of two of Pakistani players, for which most of the nation and the social media enthusiasts fought like there is no tomorrow especially without Muhammad Aamir, now we 're seeing how he placed excuse for playing the league cricket preferred over the National Duty.

Look at other bowlers

You're not the only one bowling longer, look at Starc, Bumrah, Cummins, they prefer test cricket over limited over white ball cricket, and unlike the subjected, they'd end up being; if not the greats, but someone at least who showed their motivation that Yes I AM GOING TO DO THIS. This is something lacks in current Pakistani playing team.

What should the PCB be doing to overcome the scenario

Restrict players

The PCB should be restricting cricketers to play the PSL only, with the exception of players be given NOC to play 1 - 2 foreign leagues only who're placed on top tier of the central contract.

The National Duty and Domestic be prioritized

Importance to the Domestic Season be prioritized so that even if Pakistan's domestic season tournament clashes with the foreign league, a player is deemed to play the domestic instead of the foreign league and even if the cricketer takes the instance of retiring and than playing the foreign league, than it'd be with the PCB's NOC, which means PCB won't be backing the player. Same goes with the National Duty because the current trend which the cricketers have figured out; is lethal not only to Pakistan cricket but also to the legacy of Pakistan Cricket.

A Show-Cause Notice

A show-cause be placed for that retaliating player; after taken back all of the benefits/perks/advantages; so that these players should understand that they are not only wearing the emblem of Pointed Star with the word Pakistan written in Urdu, the blazer, but also the hopes and investment of the nation is behind them, therefore they should be asked for the same because this is a legitimate reason, being ambitious and seeking better opportunity is one thing but betraying with the nation and with the rich legacy of Pakistan Cricket is something else.

Pakistan Cricket - as a product

Whatever occurred for Pakistan at the Cricket World Cup 2019, was not due to NRR but because of mismanagement and lack of understanding of current technicalities in today's cricket.

What I figured!

I figured after I noted the cricketing activities in neighbouring countries, we Pakistanis definitely lack in basic understanding and technicalities which the players of other countries are accustomed to. I am definitely sure, if there was someone from the Pakistan cricket teams replacing Stokes, he would not had taken the game to that extent like Buttler and Stokes took because they (the Pakistanis) lack the mental toughness which is needed to be inducted during the childhood days because of which they tend to have a tendency to never-say-no attitude which current Pakistani lot lacks which previously used to had specially during the WILLS Cup and Double Wicket Cricket era.

I am not going to prolong the obvious issues but the fact is we now require domestic and local strategic and statistician support because this Cricket World Cup clearly exposed Pakistanis vulnerability towards statistics because had they took note of statistics, they'd had definitely looked into NRR and would had tried to complete their games with spare balls/overs instead of completing the games in the last over(s).

The School Cricket

The School Cricket specially in the developed cities of Pakistan i.e. Lahore and Karachi has been bamboozled because of change in priorities, because now school cricket in Pakistan is diminished because school vicinity lack sporting grounds and points allocated for students in order to clear their papers and examinations, just like students have to clear their practicals, they'd have to score in physical training and sports as well, because the school I studied i.e. Hamdard Public School, it comprises of two multipurpose grounds and multiple multipurpose basketball grounds beside the study vicinity, now the new study vicinity do not take account of sporting grounds which is a shame for a nation which had a culture which is now nowhere.
