HBL PSL 6 postpone - My Observations

It has been few days since HBL PSL Season 6 has been postponed, and sorry to say it exposes ignorance tactics in our society altogether.

WHY our society???

Because it also exposes ignorance towards a proper research mechanism, as immunity statistics count of us (Pakistanis) compared with foreigners including Non-residing Pakistanis like Fawad Ahmed, Imran Tahir etc is totally different, hence this thing is also in our societal norms that to go with the winds instead of analyzing the situation point-by-point, but needless to mention here that every single individual acting like they know the most, instead of researching the aspects, and when someone (not limited to me but every one who believes on logics instead of saying (بچے، یہ بال دھوپ میں سفید نہیں کئے ہیں) for god's sake, this pandemic situation is totally new for most of the old age people since last pandemic we experienced was during the time era of 1918's to 1920.

Keeping the long story short!

Don't want to direct my blog article from PCB to society (although this negligence aspect is on the society as well), did PCB and PSL management went through the pain of researching on below mentioned points???

1. Transmission and Mutation

Did the PCB and PSL made sure that ample amount of Precaution not only for the foreign players but also for the Pride of Pakistan, because now PSL instead of Pakistan's pride, now a point of laughter world wide because in cricketing future when someone will write cricketing history that a pandemic hit cricketing world, PSL will be on the numero-uno position.

2. Signs and Symptoms

PCB and PSL instead of researching, bought a pre-designed bubble template as if we didn't know this COVID-19 impact differs and varies region wise, and just like we have different variants of mobile phones and gadgets regions wise, this virus is no different, so was it sensible from PCB and PSL instead of researching, because of this mishaps, 3 entities had their reputation at stake, one is PCB, two is PSL, and three with the most important impact was Pakistan, because whether it is PCB and PSL, it is the term PAKISTAN which got the hit, because India was badly hit with COVID-19 but cricket has started in their own backyards, for which they worked the problem, and staged proper Standardized Operating Procedures and made it sure that those SOP's aren't violated, but wait, read the above line AGAIN, India worked the problem out and staged their own set of SOP's which suited their own circumstances, unlike PCB and the PSL, who went for pre-designed template-based BIO-SECURE BUBBLE i.e. BSB, when according to news, the current variant of this COVID-19 is totally different than from the regional situations, hence eye-brows are to be raised on the credibility of PCB's medical panel.

3. Misdiagnosis of virus

This is again fingers pointed towards the medical panel PCB incorporated for countering such and similar situations, but kudos (sarcastically) to them for their achievement and inability to counter such situations, it means either they didn't had the expertise otherwise they were not virologist.

4. Hotels

Sorry to say, when you're staging a franchise based lucrative tournament featuring some of the finest players from all over the world, PCB/PSL could have managed a dedicated hotel for them, because what I learnt, the hotel players were staying, were staging ceremonies etc, hence butlers and room-services personnel, associated with those ceremonies were facilitating the players as well, so what message did we convey to the whole world?

5. The Role of Climatic Conditions

The Climate in Pakistan during February and March season usually in conversion from cold to mild to start of summers, hence our so called Medical Panel personnel should have researched on it as well, instead of placing claims that Javed Afridi (owner of Peshawar Zalmi) was not part of the BSB, but when WAHAB RIAZ and DARREN SAMMY violated the protocols, why they were punished with a 3 day quarantine session when this virus can withstand a minimum of 5 days, so it is criminal negligence from the end of Medical Panel of PCB.

IT IS PAKISTAN...

Which costed, because reputation of Pakistan, because we didn't like to research, costed us internationally, because already at the start of Pakistan tour to NZ, had sour taste and like previously when teams were reluctant to tour to Pakistan due to safety conditions, now they have another point by the name of COVID-19, JUST BECAUSE WE (PAKISTANIS) DON'T RESEARCH.

HBL PSL 6 - After the Postponement

Sudden but it was not

Everyone is going to utter that suddenly PSL got a hitch and directly got into the Pandemic Hit, starting with infection of Fawad Ahmed, and after few days of him effected, several cases were erupted and till Wednesday i.e. 3rd March, 2021; situation had got worst, where 6 more people were supposedly infected with the same.

Why am I saying that???

I am saying this as even before start of PSL 6, news of breaches were starting to take note of the news headlines nationwide, more notably Wahab Riaz and Darren Sammy who breached the Bio-Secure Bubble and met Mr. Afridi who is owner of Peshawar Zalmi and was not the part of BSB, hence this is an obvious thought that if one news is being break, it means there must have been few more incidents like that occurred due to which eye-brows have started to wagged.

Even the Franchises' have been complaining about the breaches

Like I mentioned above, News Broke from the Franchise end, confirms my suspicions, but the fact is Pakistan Cricket Board instead of acting civilized and cultivated, they (the PCB) acted desperately. I am having a great pain in writing these lines but the PCB surely acted desperately because kindly remember this thing that Australia opted to postpone their leg of ICC World T20 event, because of traveling and logistic issue, as according to them; it was difficult to maintain a standardized BSB all around their venues, although their cricket grounds are NOT crowdless, but still they took sensible step to think about AUSTRALIA first than their own motives (although I must say BUSINESS is in the back of their minds but still it is about priority).

Priority

It is all about priority(s), because of the laughing stock we have become because of this mismanagement of Pakistan's Premier Cricket Tournament is something we must have thought about the country initially, because now countries like England and New Zealand who were supposed to be traveling to Pakistan this year, are surely going to have suspicions in traveling to Pakistan amid indefinite suspension of HBL PSL. 

Diagnosis of International Players with COVID-19

Due to players getting infected with COVID-19, whereas India played their IPL under the same circumstances at UAE and non of the players were infected, although news broke that here-and-there were some instances of abuse of SOP's but still there were strict SOP's implemented. Than UAE staged T10 league which was also concluded without any incident, hence PSL got the crown of having the first to have Pandemic Attack, and I need not to mention how this pandemic spreads, hence if inside 5 days, from Fawad Ahmed to 6 more people were infected, it is surely an indication that YES THERE WERE SOME(might be many) ABUSES to laid down SOP's at HBL PSL 6, and unlike PSL 5; the PCB might not be getting sympathy vote this time.
