Way forward for Pakistan should be to play aggressive cricket, because based on the NRR, because have dual responsibilities,

1. Win the game and

2. If winning while batting first, Pakistan requires to negate NRR by bowling teams' out, otherwise if batting second, Pakistan does require to chase the target while balls to spare,

Otherwise, Pakistan's NRR is negative 0.4 hence Pakistan has to play fearless cricket for sure, because this is the risk Pakistan NOW have to take otherwise, I am not seeing Pakistan going forward to top four, i.e., the semis.
