I have been busy with my official commitments, furthermore being day games, mostly games supposed to be ended by the time I reach home, hence this is why I wasn't able to post yesterday but today I got to have chance to watch the game live.
Getting back to the game
Bangladesh won the toss and elected to bat first, but unlike Australia and NZ, Pakistan capitalized on Bangladesh,
Not want to brag how well Pakistanis bowl, but the fact is, they didn't allow Bangladesh team to breath easily, as I was calculating the runs scored per ball, apart from the second over, none of the overs touched a 2 runs per ball ratio, this is how much clinical Pakistani bowling has been.
But this is a depleted Bangladeshi team
With no Mushfiqur, Shakib etc, I also feel Bangladesh were short on experience, but the fact is, Pakistan also experimenting with its bench strength, as no Asif Ali, no Mohammad Hafeez, etc in yesterday's game there was no Shaheen Afridi and today there is no Hasan Ali, whereas Shahnawaz Dahani yet to debut for Pakistan in T20I's, hence all I can say that changed Pakistani bowling line up bowled up to their mark while having vice captain Shadab Khan and Mohammad Nawaz doing the same job like Mohammad Hafeez used to do.
These are totally different ball game compared to the UAE
As compared to the Middle East, here conditions are moisty, and variable bounce off the deck for pacers, which require bowlers to bend their backs to extract pace and bounce. This was something not seen in recently concluded Men's WT20 event in the middle east. I was seeing Shaheen's delivery's after bouncing off the deck, and batters leaving the ball while the ball climbing on the batters at a height of 7 to 8 feet.
Good to see bench-strength performing
Because once again if you go through to the Bangladesh batting, only single sixer in whole legal 120 balls span, and similarly 32 runs in 4s, which means mere 8 fours were scored in 120 total allocated balls, and this is gonna stamp authority on Pakistan's bowling performance, that 50 dot balls were bowled out of 120 balls, which makes almost 42% of dot balls, means rest of the 58% were scoring shots,
This clearly shows the dominance of Pakistani pacers in a condition where it is expected to have support for spinning scenarios, but all kudos to team Pakistan for having guts to experiment from the squad from WT20 squad, Cons of Pakistan
Patience is the key, it is and still being said, T20 is a fast game, but I add fast-furious-with-strategy, once can't play like there's no next ball, it is like a sketch artist sketching, where the artist imagines how he wants his idea to be transferred on canvas,
Why Emphasizing on WT20 Opening?
Why Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan were persisted otherwise we had Shadab Khan who could had taken mental of captaincy from BA, and Sarfaraz Ahmed could have taken place of MR, because this series is and should have been treated as testing bench strength, because after West Indies series at home, we are going to face tough opponents like England, Australia and NZ, who're not going to give chance like Bangladesh did and West Indies might.
Pakistan's reply
Pakistan were clinical, especially the way Fakhar Zaman who was rightly adjudged MOM, because the way FZ took the game on his own shoulders, but like I mentioned above, Pakistan might have tested bench strength and rested their main resources, because this is the way, we created a back up, instead of acting آغا باٹا , but the defensive approach shown both by Bangladesh and Pakistan is something misused by both teams. So playing such series (although Pakistan won this series) but still it is useless
