Right now when I am writing these lines, 10:29 pm in Pakistan and 3:29 in Eastern Coast Australia and 5:29 am in NZ, and with all due respect, thank god most boring of the WT20 event final finally done and now waiting for next year championship, but Pakistan did lost the semi-finals but won the hearts, the way they compete and the way they resurgence after NZ and later on England cancelled their tour to Pakistan, whole nation was disgusted, and for that we as Pakistanis are proud of our boys.
A One Sided final
This was one of those WT20 finals which was outside competition, if such games are to be played in a finale, than it should be told to switch off the TV sets after coin toss, just like in SI probability where we conduct how much variation a coin can reflect and probability of how many predictable outcomes, but if a one-sided final is to be viewed, than it is better to turn off TV.
Semi-Finals were more interesting
Till the time, England and Pakistan were in Semis, there was some competition, but afterwards it was a one sided affair.
Right now
Babar Azam with 303 runs top scored and Wanindu Hasaranga with most number of wickets and 101* Joss Buttler against Sri Lanka at Sharjah was the best individual score, but overall if compared to previous WT20 events, it was a boring tournament, some might say I am saying it as a Pakistani, but just ask any other individual, I am saying, the brand of cricket England and South Africa play is good one TV screens and competitive, but the one-sided cricket which Aussies play is good for Almanac and record books but for the game of cricket is not good.
Cricket is already being played between 8 permanent teams only
And even than, the sportsmanship shown by Aussies was pathetic, ok again I am being Pakistan, but the run not taken by David Weise, is one of the examples where he shown sportsmanship, and I guess his stature not more than David Warner, but still he shown some sportsmanship, because rules are rules, but ethics and etiquette does matter, and if you don't play with former, winning trophies might fill your trophy closet but not the respect.
