Pakistan Cricket without Vision when it comes to FTP

With respect to my Previous Blog Post, this is a continuity blog post to that post where I would be discussing that current ICC FTP (not file transfer protocol, but instead ICC Future Tours Program, keeping it simple).

This is for your information that ICC only approves these bilateral contracts between two cricket boards, with respect to broadcasting contracts as well.

Remember Australia and Pakistan's tour to UAE ODI series in 2019?

It was decided by mutual contract between Cricket Australia (read: the CA) and Pakistan Cricket Board (read: the PCB), ICC also approved this series, as this series was played in the UAE during that season when this region is usually in extreme heatwaves, hence initially CA wanted T20I series, and at that time, it was a norm that ICC usually approved series' no longer than 3 or 5 matches series, whereas at that time, it was need of the time due to extreme circumstances, even those ODI's were played in extreme circumstances, where ODI matches instead of 2:30 pm start, this series was started 6:30 pm local time start due to sunset and temperatures' lowered, initially as I mentioned, CA wanted a T20I series, but it was broadcasters' interests which mattered,  they had interests of marginalizing their airtime, and at that time T20's airtime was less than ODI cricket, hence this series was in peculiar circumstances, where 6:30 pm matches would start, and 2:00 am next day matches would end, and similarly even if you are not cricket-savvy, you could understand that 6:30 pm match start local time start means broadcasters coming 3:00 pm local time, cricket teams coming 4:00 pm local time, than matches while completing 2:00 am next morning, they (the cricketers) doesn't leave the cricket ground as if they all are Barry Allen from the Flash, they still stay on the cricket grounds 1:50 hours after the game ended, because there are commute-protocols, and how they would leave, afterwards broadcasters leave which means approximately 5:00 am cricket grounds (whether it was Sharjah, Dubai or Abu Dhabi, these are only available venues at UAE till now).

Same is the case here where Pakistan Cricket Board is without Vision

This is a missed opportunity, where Karachi National Bank Stadium is on the verge of being demolished, we saw specimen during the Qualifier match between Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi where stands' seats were fixated on temporary settings, where the host of this video uploader was clearly mentioning this majority of the times, that practices on the National Bank Stadium in Karachi was in that mindset that Karachi is only going to hold 5 PSL games afterwards these whole stands are going to demolished completely, but it was made presentable in 6 hours' notice, (not justifying, but keeping who statistics intact).

What I started thinking while analyzing this fact

Is it really necessary to stage games on "Lone" cricket stadium in Karachi? Even Mumbai (one of the biggest and scenic cricket stadiums from India), in comparison, Karachi's National Bank Stadium is neither scenic, nor attractive, looks congested, keeping in mind, the space which was supposed to be associated with Stadium's parking, is now National Stadium Colony, now some would argue, legally it is with relevant NOC's, but we all live and experience how these bodies' work, we should take note of the consequences of those actions, where Stadiums should look presentable to the global audience, and not only Stadium, but the area around should be presentable, not every open space should be occupied for a residential project, even when I play SimCity, even that emulator game tells me that I am overdoing residential, go towards commercial or industrial, keeping greenbelts and parks increases land value whereas I practiced utilizing every open space for residential buildings, but it resulted in civilians not happy, I had to reduce my population and instead invest on greenbelts and parks, and slowly happiness level started improving from red to yellow, and when I placed a thick buffer jungle between residential section and industrial section keeping wind direction taken note of, it improved my analytics,

Although, it is a game, and furthermore, wind directions not always placed in monotone direction, but at least we should take note of what we are doing incorrectly.

Opportunity lost

This is a lost opportunity where instead of hosting Pakistani Women vs Zimbabwe Women in Karachi in that stadium, where there is evidence that stadium requires majorly renovations, and you're behaving like you have no vision how you want to portray Pakistan and Pakistan Cricket on Global stage, don't you think Global Commentators won't be noticing crowd stands on temporary seatings arrangements?

Instead of Pakistan Cricket on Major Venues-only

Instead of staging Pakistan (Male and Female) cricket on major venues, it is high time to develop newer venues, with Pakistan's home cricket matches on matrix-based venue selection, where in case of back-to-back home series, matrix-based cricket venues series allows to have non-repeative same venues, if one match played in Lahore, another could be in Multan, Next on Faisalabad, and similarly such smaller venues creation is required on urgent, instead of staging all games in Karachi and Lahore only.

It exposes a fact that we are without a Vision

This is not a problem with venues, but lack of vision, because when a High-Profile Australian ODI series is going to be played after Pakistan comes back from Bangladesh, all of the games are being played in Lahore, wouldn't it be better if during the time, when after Champions Trophy 2025, if constructive work be started in all of our existing venues and similarly creating newer venues up-north as well, so that Cricket Matches be staged in our summers, because every country plans accordingly, why can't we plan accordingly?

Instead of politics, create a vision... after collaborative efforts

Because this is inferiority complex in our society, that if I don't agree with A, when I will be in power, I will demolish all his efforts and instead impose my "goodness" on his ruins, this is overall societal dilemma, we have to get rid of this habit first. 

When it comes to FTP

Pakistan Cricket as a product is not viable, but we required to bring a matrix-based mechanism in team selection and not only team selection but also how Pakistan Cricket is to be seen internationally, imagine drone views of Dubai, Chennai and Kolkata, and afterwards compare the same with Karachi (the biggest city of Pakistan), and similarly whom we are playing, furthermore who are playing against whom, I remember same Premier Fast bowler bowling against Nepal in Asia Cup 2023, when Pakistan travelled down to Colombo to play against India, afterwards when we returned back to Pakistan, lost Naseem Shah, they are human beings, treat them like human beings instead of product placement, furthermore PCB has to decide where they are seeing Pakistan Cricket in next 5 years, but for it, we have to learn how to collaborate first, because I personally feel that we as society lack praising someone else' hard work, just like I am observing Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block 1 inner lanes, where after newer pavements, new utilities are being installed on newly paved roads, which clearly exposes the fact that as a society we do not research, nor have a blue print of the city, and when city is suffering accordingly, I am assuming that Pakistan Cricket is following the same route, but it is high time to now research along with cause-and-effect mechanism of our actions, this is something lacks from our society, instead all we do is only to win argument only.
