Be ready to be COOKed at Lord's!

Returned after a long gap because I was busy with my university's flood relieve activities!

Atlast Pakistan did win in this series, that too with comprehensive performances from our bowlers and similarly equal unsatisfying performance with bats in hand! Apart from some +vs, one negative aspect to be have great note of is that Alastair Cook, the English opener has shown some sort of form in the second innings of the test played at the Brit Oval, and so the next test starting in 2 days time from the time I am writing this thing, it would be a great test for Pakistani batters to bat on and score heavily to get English into some sorta trouble!

Again even though MoYo have been included but still batting looks bleak and the whole burden is on Moyo. Even if England won the toss and elected to bat first, there's sniff of a chance that Pakistan might replay the same performance they had in England's first inning, and if Pakistan bat first, I personally don't think Pakistan can't post a score more than 250. So lets see how the situation and conditions end up in London that day!

  1. INSHALLAH we will win Lords test and draw the series... just hope for the best. Bowlers are really performing well... we can just pray for our batting line and fielding!
    Pakistan should not bat first...I think they wont give a better total.
    I do agree with you...Undoubtedly, M.Yousuf has made his presence felt..but we can't depend on just Yousuf. we need a team performance to win this test.
    I must appreciate Aamer.. what a talent.Wish he isn't wasted as many cricketers have been in Pakistan..

West Indies v Pakistan

Today is the start of another away series for Pakistan, where both teams are even Stevens since both;
1. Wants a direct entry to 2019 CWC
2. Want to improve their records
3. Wants to carry on the momentum to up coming Champions TrophyOn paper, Pakistan's record looks much stable but like we all saw in recently concluded PSL where QG team combination just before the finals was disturbed, whereas PZ was with full strength, so my point was the team whose combination would be stable will win, and for that I'd rate Windies for it since they have been playing as a team and this is a second series with almost the same combination, whereas Pakistan team on the contrary is new, no doubt vibrant but like I always heard a term especially from the Indian Commentators, The Trust Factor where when a team plays with a particular combination, management team and other relatees start to trust a particular player, bowler etc, that thing isn't available for Pakistan, whereas Windies have tes…

The day after the thrashing

Today i.e. 16th June 2013, the day when Pakistan is all out from the penultimate edition of the ICC Champions Trophy, a trophy which Pakistan couldn't stage on their closet. But the time when the team was announced for Pakistan, since than whenever someone was asking me about the same including some of my Indian colleagues, I was not optimistic since what I already had heard about England and its weather at the start of their and the European summer, is very windy, cloudy, overcast and chances may that there would
going to be rain intervals for sure, and therefore in our current team there were no players except Misbah himself who could able to play the ball late and could shift gears to back foot.

As far as our bowling was concerned, I was not satisfied in a sense that no doubt pace battery was awesome but on a broader perspective it was a monotone attack because all left handers, except Wahab Riaz none was able to generate late swing or taking advantage of the la…

West Indies v Pakistan 2017 - T20I series

Tomorrow marks the start for Pakistan's first foreign trip after PSL 2017, according to Pakistan time, it'd start at 9.30 pm Pakistan Time. After seeing the Caribbean Boys at this years PSL, I was expecting something extra but than I remembered that the current Windies outfit and the boys played at PSL were two different outfits. But most importantly both teams are equally poised as both are both are in their bleak, means it'd be anyone's game whatsoever, as both teams are mercurial and on their day both can have havoc on their opposite's camp.T20I squad for Pakistan
