Finally, PCB released itinerary for Australia's ODI tour of Pakistan.
1:2 ratio of Matches between Rawalpindi and Lahore.3 ODI series, on 2 different venues
3 ODI series where 1 ODI at Rawalpindi and 2 in Lahore, whereas it could had been better if it were Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad, all of them are in Punjab, furthermore whole world has seen 22 games of PSL in Lahore, still Lahore getting majority share of the games, else you had an option of Rawalpindi, Multan and Faisalabad for ODI games, all of the locations had variable conditions, plus good for optics, because all of these venues are crowd pulling venues, and cricket grounds look awesome filled with crowd.
Optics
As I mentioned in above paragraph, that broadcast = global optics; what kind of message are we conveying globally, especially when the world already seen Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium 22nd times previously, while also seen 6 games played on same pitch, such fiasco happened, still you are staging cricket games in Lahore? I am not against of Lahore or any particular cricket venue, instead I am talking about Global Venues, because Cricket broadcast is that much important that BCCI during 1990s were first time introduced to the fact by South African broadcasters when after apartheid ended in South Africa, they wanted their first international game broadcasted in their country, for which BCCI than known that broadcasting rights could be sold, otherwise till that time, BCCI used to pay Doordarshan TV for airing their game, now they were selling those broadcasts rights to global production teams, by this action,
We are not learning from experiences across the border, why we are talking about India? Bangladesh opted for their local broadcaster (reference: Wikipedia), giving chance to local broadcasters, but still their broadcasting quality while I compare the same with recently concluded HBL PSL 2026 broadcasting, broadcasts with too many glitches, it shows that as a society, we do not believe in R&D, research and development do not mean writing here and there, instead people should see we should research with respect to the What, Where, How, When and lastly Where-to;✍🏻What is the problem?
✍🏻Where is the problem?
✍🏻How to take resolution step for this problem?
✍🏻When to resolve this problem? (setting benchmark)
✍🏻Where to move after this problem resolves?
This is my sample answers to these questions;
✔️What is the problem? ➜ Broadcasting in limited venues!
✔️Where is the problem? ➜ Broadcasting Optics limited
🙋Global Optics ➜ Audience getting bored watching same venues again-and-again
❌Global Optics ➜ HBL PSL 2026 22 games including PSL final was played in Lahore (Lahore means Gaddafi Stadium)
⚠️Global Optics ➜ Pakistan Cricket is Compared to that of Zimbabwe who have Harare and Bulawayo altogether all over the African country.
✔️How to take resolution steps? ➜ Preparing newer venues all around the country (Pakistan), even a city like Karachi and Lahore requires multiple international crickets played venues, just like Mumbai has 3 international venues (correct me) Wankhede, Brabourne, and DY Patil, these are the three cricketing venues so that one cricket venue doesn't overburden just like in recently concluded PSL, where 6 games were played on the same pitch.
✔️When to resolve this issue? ➜ 25 months where slightly venues start to show on cricket ventures, the major aspect is quality, not quantity,
✔️Where to move after resolution of this issue? ➜ Smaller ovals like cricketing venues like Hayatabad Cricket Stadium in Peshawar, we require multiple such venues, just like Sri Lanka has SSC, P-Sara Oval, and RPS in Colombo, whereas compared with Pakistan, it is too small country, but they have distributed their cricket so that audience who are watching cricket in Sri Lanka doesn't get bored, their whole economy is on tourism,
Conclusion
We require multiple International Cricket Venues for airing Pakistan Cricket as a product.
