Pakistan Cricket: Bangladesh v Pakistan Dhaka Test Day 1 - Personal Opinion | celebrating mediocracy as big achievement

Team Selection on Reputations instead of Needs Assessment

Today's Dhaka test day 1- totally dominated by Bangladesh but also exposed how Pakistan Cricket is being ruined, we are also requiring analyzing who is benefitting from this downgrade standards of Pakistan Cricket set by 1990s cricketers.

Management is to be blamed

Management just like head of the family who usually takes decisions on the whole, or like in banking terms, he is the final authorizer, and hence if such blunders are continuously erupting, it clearly mentions the fact that the upper management is more prone to glitter and showmanship, but they actually possess not clear vision.

Implementation of Vision

As none in management, this is my understanding of how it should be implemented;

  1. What is to be achieved❓
    1. Improvement in Pakistan team's performance
  2. How is to be achieved❓
    1. Structural Improvement
    2. Transparency
    3. Domestic Cricket becoming more competitive
  3. Where is to be achieved❓
    1. Domestic cricket
    2. Transparency in selection
    3. Needs assessment i.e., What Player is Required in What Conditions

Because I have noted one thing;

The official PCB Twitter Handler (mentioning X looks inappropriate that's why I am continuing with its former name), celebrating mediocrity that Shaheen Shah Afridi becomes the first Pakistani bowler to take 100 wickets in ICC World Test Championship, this is how much we have downgraded our taste that we are celebrating this level of mediocrity, is this something worth celebrating when Pakistan doesn't benefit from it?

I do understand Players require recognition but recognition at WHAT COST? At the cost of the country? What his 100 WTC wickets have to do with Pakistan❓ Did Pakistan benefit from those 100 WTC wickets❓ Did Pakistan qualify for WTC Finals ever❓ Please requested that such statistics should be backed by how those performance matrix benefit Pakistan, you have option of personal milestones in PSL, CPL, BPL, ILT20, LPL, SAT20; but when you're representing country, such statistics are to be celebrated with Star Emblem on the Chest, although you achieved 100 WTC wickets, but you weren't able to extract bounce on a fresh track, and here your social media team is trolling Ramiz Raja rightly called him Medium Pacer, because when you're representing country, You are seen as Pakistan, keeping in mind, 37 years old Mohammad Abbas bowled much better than him, but wasn't supported by the team.

Team's selection made on the reputation instead of selecting team on what is required from conditions

How is it possible that Shaheen, Naseem, Haris are one-glove-fits-all-situation bowlers for Pakistan❓ Why can't bowlers analyze and develop players❓ Those players also need that recognition instead of spotlights on such mediocre performances.
