Arnab Goswami screams #PleaseBoycott as if Pakistan is desperate for India’s attention. Let me remind him: Pakistan does not need India to validate its cricket. In fact, the Government of Pakistan has rightly disapproved the Pakistan‑v‑India league game in Colombo, and I fully support this decision by the PCB and Mohsin Naqvi.
Asia Cup 2025 – The Arrogance We Saw
During the Asia Cup 2025, India’s players displayed arrogance when they refused to take the award from PCB Chairman Mohsin Naqvi. That moment said it all. If arrogance is the main reason, then why even play against us? Why are we talking about them? Why give them this attention?
Pakistan’s dignity comes first. If India cannot respect our officials, then Pakistan has no obligation to share the field with them.
ICC’s Response – Slow and Selective
When the Government of Pakistan disapproved playing against India at the league level, the ICC’s response was faster and swift than a Business Account replying on WhatsApp. That delay itself shows the double standards. When India complains, ICC reacts accordingly, while Pakistan asserts sovereignty, ICC drags its feet.
This hypocrisy must be exposed. Pakistan is not another junior partner in world cricket. We are a full member, with history, victories, and legitimacy, although recently Pakistan's performances have been on the decline, but this is where meritocracy in selection of players comes into equation, where Babar Azam is supposed to be playing anchoring role, speaking of the roles, roles defined according to their assessments is the need of the time, and honesty in selecting such players, because after great Abdul Razzaq, we have not got another consistent match finisher, else during those days we had Azhar Mahmood, Abdul Razzaq and Moin Kha complementing each other, be honest could we analyze today's lot complementing synchronously as they used to? Don't be fan boys, be realistic with yourself.
#PleaseBoycott – Taste of Their Own Medicine
Arnab’s hashtag is hollow. Pakistan has already shown that we can thrive without India. We have produced world‑class players, won series abroad, and reached ICC finals without bilateral cricket against them.
So here’s the taste of their own medicine: if India wants to boycott, let them. Pakistan has already chosen not to play them in Colombo. We don’t need their arrogance, their hashtags, or their attention.
Conclusion – National Interest First
I support the PCB and Mohsin Naqvi in this decision. Cricket is not about appeasing arrogance—it is about protecting national dignity. Pakistan must stop giving India the chance to humiliate us.
Arnab Goswami can scream #PleaseBoycott all he wants. The reality is simple: Pakistan has already boycotted India, and we did it with principle.
