While India has consistently secured prestigious tournaments like the 2016, 2023, and 2026 ICC events, Pakistan's last ICC event dates back to 1996. Even the recent ACC event was a compromise, hosted in a hybrid format.
It's time for Pakistan to reevaluate its strategic priorities. By continually missing opportunities to host global events, we are not only undermining our national image but also conceding significant ground to our rivals. We must ask ourselves: What are we truly aiming for? Is it mere participation, or do we aspire to be a leading force in international sports? The answer should be clear.
