I'll have to admit that!

Pakistani team being the potential to be unpredictable at times and tend to do anything unexpected this time like many analysts say that Pakistan team will go not more than the semi final stage. Pakistani nation is too generous for praying but this time it isn't the case!

To be honest and realistic, they don't stand a chance to be at the winning post like they did last year, inductance of several new players (drastic inductance instead of gradual inductance and it may harm their cricket career), heavily dependence on Afridi and Razzaq in the middle order, Umar Akmal not in the form he was in when he was inducted to the Pakistani National Team, absence of players like Umar Gul, Shoaib Malik and Younus Khan, especially Younus Khan who tend to take the team with him, all of his innings affirm this fact, and now 11 months after that tournament in England, these main spearheads are faded by several reasons. Bowling no doubt would be under pressure and because our bowling would be under pressure would generate pressure on our batting as well because its not the strongest of the units like India have.

One might say I am being sarcastic, but I feel this is the reality we should accept. Its not because Pakistan lost to Zimbabwe in the warm ups, mind you...

Was that really necessary?

Was that much hype really necessary for arrival of Shoaib Malik and Sania Mirza in Pakistan? Whenever they started their tour of Pakistan, media instead acting sensibly and educating the mass to how to act in these situations and to let them watch it through media, they created such hype that made people to rush through the airports and to those areas where they were about to roam.

Wasn't that insulting so much of people were eagerly waiting for just to have a glimpse of them but they used another terminal to enter the city and the country! Was that really necessary when it was known that like our Cricket heroes after winning the 2009 T20 cup arrived here in privacy and with so much security without showing their glimpse, so how could they don't have figured that out for Shoaib and his newly wed bride with her family?

The responsibility not only fall on the shoulders of people that they couldn't hide their enthusiasm but it was the responsibility of media (both print and electronic) to educate the people how to act in such circumstances, instead they've been acting like those parents who've spoiled their child by offering and granting him/her whatever he/her wished for, without knowing the importance of it...

Now till the latest reports that Mirza family here in Pakistan have been handled and even because of the media personnel "enthusiasm" Mrs. Mirza fall just at the doors of the 5 star hotel in Lahore today. Is it really necessary to give so much hype to this news unnecessary when such things are hurting the visitor's privacy and even at times they have complained for it, still our media personnel are not behaving with consciousness.

Just look at the broader picture, just for the sake of knowing the thoughts of Sania Mirza, on how she's feeling coming to Pakistan, start sabotaging the remaining of Pakistan's impression, hospitality and friendly nature people by showing such IDIOTIC display of manners that whenever Sania Mirza's family would return to India, and when other Indians would ask about their tour to Pakistan, they'll definitely say that we feel more safe here (in India) atleast the people here (in India) showed some civilization.

Sorry to say but the blame all goes to our stupid media, which again I should mention that act like those parents who fulfill all wishes of their child before even he got to know its importance. Just tell me what is the purpose of showing such enthusiasm that I personally felt when Sania and Shoaib arrived in Karachi, I saw on TV students came to airport at the school, college and university timings, office going boys at the office timings, was that really necessary to bunk your education and earning source just for the sake "glimpse" of Sania and Shoaib? How was it beneficial by any means?

In short our media should respect one's privacy and follow the international charters for such exclusive contents and should not act like jobless people who interfere in other's matters- so our media (print and electronic both) needs to mature themselves and to mature their audience.

No offense...

Umar Gul, Yasir Arafat out - Muhammad Sami and Muhammad Irfan In

Serious blow indeed to the on-going World T20 camp in Lahore when Pakistan's ace bowler in T20, Umar Gul got injured during fielding drilling and Yasir Arafat having calf injury and medical assessments showed results in negative. Their replacements were announced with the consensus from skipper, coach and chief selector, Muhammad Sami and hulking Muhammad Irfan, who was selected on the performance of recently concluded RBS Domestic T20 tournament in Karachi, although keeping in mind he was not initially included in the 15-men squad or in the reserves but the potential surprise value his height brings have thought to have persuaded the management to prompt for him.

Lets hope, that he would be a prospect in the T20 world cup in the Caribbean, which is the land from where Curtly Ambrose and Courtney Walsh belongs to, although have heard that the pitches over there have been flattened compared to those times when both of these Windies great used to play, still he (Muhammad Irfan) might get some support from the pitch and from his height, similarly the way at a time Muhammad Shabbir did.

I personally feel Muhammad Sami was the perfect replacement for the ace Umar Gul as his performance is no secret, whether its the Sydney test or in the RBS Domestic T20 performance, he was the best candidate to be selected as the replacement for Umar Gul, but still Umar Gul will be missed in the tournament as he was consequently the leading wicket taker in 2007 and 2009 edition of the 20 over game with his famous 5 wickets for 6 runs in 4 overs spell against the New Zealand during a semifinal game in World T20 last year played in England.

Lets hope for the best.

Peace!

Mr. Haroon Lorgat's visit to Karachi

Haroon Lorgat, Shahid Afridi and Ijaz Butt address the media during the official launch of the ICC World Twenty20 in Karachi © International Cricket Council

Yesterday 15th April 2010, Haroon Lorgat, the ICC's chief executive, was in Karachi to launch the World Twenty20 tournament which is to be played in the Caribbean later this month. His visit was the first by a high-ranking ICC official since the terror attacks in Lahore last year that took international cricket away from the country for the forseeable future.

I was watching his interview on TV and he answered to many tactical and difficult questions which were justified at some context, and hats off to our sports journalists and Aamir Sohail who put forward Pakistan's case in front of ICC CEO which I am sorry to say our cricket board wasn't able to.

Anyways the only question which is wobbling me that if (and I hope its more than if) Pakistan qualifies for the semis and Inshallah into the finals on 2011 cricket world cup, how Pakistani supporters and Pakistani players would get the visa to multiple cities like quarter finals to be played in Ahmedabad (India), Mirpur (Bangladesh) and Colombo (Sri Lanka), Semi Finals in Colombo and Chandigarh and Final in Mumbai, so if Pakistan be playing one of quarter and semi final matches to be featured in Ahmedabad and Chandigarh respectively, so is there a possibility that Pakistani players and spectators would get the visas on time and won't be threatened there? like what the news we're getting in Pakistan is not good for the purpose, as situation in India is slightly Anti-Pakistan these days (I am sorry to admit that) and anything minute would change the complexion on the whole, although there are some Indian analysts who're saying (and I hope they are narrating it right) that left extremists parties of India doesn't have that much of power to threaten Pakistani nationals specially in Mumbai, India i.e. Cricketers and spectators both.

Lets hope for the best.

Peace!

Veena-Asif controversy... AGAIN! shoot

This article in the Pakistani news paper says it all. An actress whose whole career is filled with such controversies, bagged Asif as her new victim.

Its for us to see how some people to get undue attention try to do cheap things however and whatever circumstances the other party would face! as 4th line from the start also mentions it, that filmi actress' try to do such things when they don't have any other related activity to involve with.

This article says all, those who can understand Urdu script can easily understand.

I wasn't able to understand that how at once Asif got so poor just after he bagged IPL1 amount that Veena Malik had to spend money on curtains, carpets, payments to gardener, newspapers invoices etc and that too amounted in millions, what the fish man- اتنا کون ایک وقت میں غریب ہو سکتا ہے؟

As the article mentions about another of Pakistan's actress Sana who played a drama of having her engagement broke with fiance Fakhar Imam, which was a promotion tactic for both personnel by Sana, so how Veena can be different? Her video footage at Police Station in Lahore clearly shows she was constantly staring and smiling as if someone with an inferiority complex do so.

Anyways even if Veena won this, Asif would be greatly regarded, گائوں کا بندہ ہے مگر قابلیت ہے اس میں، فقد اپنی بیوقوفیوں کی وجہ سے مشکل میں پھنس جاتا ہے

Blessing in disguise!

Yeah! we can say that missing the IPL3 was a blessing in disguise because like what I've seen in IPL3 (don't think others will agree with me, but still کہنے میں کیا حرج ہے), players are fatigued and looking tired in the humid conditions of India playing "tough and competitive cricket", and staging this tournament just ahead of the 2010 edition of World T20 tournament making me feel that the purpose of this tournament was to improve ratings (which they weren't able to) and so called assumption to make the players ready for the tournament in the Caribbean- what can I say about it, its just that you have to play a whole series in Karachi but you are practicing in Lahore or even at Multan.

On the other hand, current T20 champions, who were left for IPL 3rd edition, are practicing in Lahore's Gaddafi Stadium, to cope with the heat and humidity of Caribbean, as compared to Karachi Lahore these days been more hotter in terms of figures, and secondly practicing in a hot and humid condition is another thing and playing in such conditions with fatiguing you players and using them like Jack-Ass' is another thing, which will certainly make them ready but tired too for the mega even in Caribbean.

To be realistic, I don't expect the same result the team had last year because of the controversies Pakistan Cricket and Cricketers have been, Shoaib Malik Sania Mirza marriage saga, Muhammad Asif Veena Malik money case, life ban-fines on some of the top cricketers of the country after a disastrous tour of down-under, voiding any check on the management during the tour, so realistically speaking, if even Pakistan qualifies for the semis, it'll be a huge achievement and we should appreciate that performance as well.

But being a Pakistani, I also want my team to have results with high colours, specially when they're not fatigued (I am repeating this term again and again as I feel IPL is nothing but to fatigue them for the year in just a month's time) and so there are better chances of Pakistan than other teams, foreign media has already started predicting Pakistan the favourites which will add more pressure on them, and like I mentioned in one of my previous blogs, I remember just before the Pakistan Australia ODI series start, its the technique of them to pressurize the foreign teams visiting them.

Lets hope اونٹ کس کروٹ بیٹھتا ہے

Peace!

Fraud case against Shoaib Malik

Fraud case against Shoaib Malik

Shoaib Malik's marriage saga

Wo! Wo! Wo! The time I am writing this thing, police has left Mirza's place after investigating and interrogating with Malik (the former Pakistani Cricket team skipper) leaving behind insult, humiliation not only to Malik himself but to whole of Pakistan, because his passport and cellular connections have already been in custody of Hyderabad city police, even being a commoner I know how much life is difficult for Pakistanis to go there in India, like we get insulted and humiliated in the west by having our bodies checked physically and scanning, similarly in India, Pakistanis are seen with great suspicion.

So why was he so willing to visit India way before the official plannings, he was supposed to come to Pakistan from Dubai, but instead he landed late night in Hyderabad Deccan and later next day he was exposed that he's in Deccan, when he also knew Siddiqui's were in full rage and were in terrible mood to get hold of him by hook or by crook, I mean it because Shoaib Malik is stupid enough to talk straight forward and what he has mentioned is I feel is right, because he has recognized Aisha Siddiqui as Maha Baji whom he used to roam in Hyderabad Deccan when he came there to meet Aisha Siddiqui but he didn't meet her but that Maha Baji and even in the FAKE NIKAH NAMA (Contract of Marriage) the bride's name was Maha, and not Aisha.

Even if he was shown the fake image of the girl than why he was willing to marry the girl on behalf of the picture and Nikah on Phone? Even if I am willing to marry my first or second cousin whom I've known since long, I'll still tend to meet that girl in personal and in presence of both side parents. Now Shoaib Malik himself give his tail to Aisha Siddiqui a.k.a. Maha Baji, so why shouldn't she be exploiting him than. Just waiting for the time when this whole saga goes to an end, in short its an international conspiracy involved in it.

More mismanagement than players' power!

I don't think it was a matter of more players' power, it was more of a combination of stupid management, I write that right, it was more stupid than that of the mismanagement term, because the management is having loose control on players, so that's why they have been practicing this self ego exercise regularly.

If there weren't a problem like that, than players didn't dare to do such things, like exposure of personal ego, coming into the media, and trying to pull another player's leg by exposing his name and saying he's the one because of which team is not performing well. I admit they've been a great players but they should be handled properly and made them understand the lines of do's and don'ts because they are not above the rule, game and the governing body of the sport in Pakistan.

Even if there are grievances in the players, they should be solved without being the breaking news material for the news channels in Pakistan and whole over the world, and plus they shouldn't be allowed to play with the name of the country that I play for my country that's why you should listen to me whenever I want to - this attitude must be removed from our players, and it can be removed with implementation of effective managerial skilled managers, not like those managers who take couple of senior players to the Chairman of PCB just to complain about that player who has just won them T20 world cup, for which they've been counting it as their major achievement, made them kicked that player out of the team by making the players to retaliate against him, with the incentive that they might be the next skipper of the green shirts.

Haven't they listen to that story in the end the moral of the story is that, جیسی کرنی، ویسی بھرنی means the person will harvest the same crop which he seeded months ago. Than how could they be so sure that they players will not disobey him, after what he did with another skipper? Its just because of stupid management of PCB which is working on friendships and relations, like the current team Manager of the National side is so called "50 year old friend" of Chairman PCB. Is that the way an organization works? Instead of making merit the criteria, they have been chairing friends and relatives.

Its my personal opinion that I have somewhat sympathy with the players but not with the stupid, idiotic management.
